Pleasantly piquant mix of hops and candi malts prick the nostrils. Candi malts and easy hopped flavor Decent mix of bitter and sweet that completely covers and suspicion of alcohol. Some warmth on the finish. BustedFlat (553), Edina, Minnesota, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 9, 2008 Picked this up as part of a winter sampler at the Eden Prairie liquor store. I wasn’t expecting much, but was pleasantly surprised. Poured amber with a tan head. Fruity, citrus aroma. Some bitterness. Nice balance between caramel, malt and grapefruit hops. Notes of citrus, orange peel and perhaps a hint of honey. I will definitely give this a try again. SudsMcDuff (1691), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 1, 2008 Mighta given it a better rating, but it’s a tad non-traditional. Nevertheless, a fine product indeed. Nice hoppy nose, not so much malt. More similar to a pale ale in style. Hazy amber color highlighted with orange and red. Flavor is great. Grapefruit is strong but not persistant. Some earthy characteristics.. A session beer for sure.
