Pours a crystal clear dark ruby color. Aroma is malt, alcohol, spice and some very feint hoppiness. Taste is initially a combination of hops and sweetness (some cherry and cranberry) but then turns bitter and lingers for a while. The finish is dry and the body is medium. Pretty well balanced and tastes very fresh.

The head is medium, the body gold-brown. It smells hoppy, malty, fruity, interesting. The taste is malty, hoppy, a bit bitter, fruity, balanced. Easy drinkable and nice but could be still more intensive in my opinion. 11/12/11/11/12/11

Grapefruit/orange, caramel, toasty aroma. Medium caramel, sweet, bready malt flavor, with a subtle toasted flavor. Citrus hops, and a lingering sugary sweetness which goes pretty well with the hop fruitiness. Bitter aftertaste; not really strong, but a little harsh.

Bottle pour during the holidays. Creamy mouthfeel. Also detect a long finish.

12 fl oz / 355mL bottle into a pint glass. Served cold. Aroma: Mild hop bitterness and some malts. Appearance: Translucent copper red with a pretty thin off-white head. Decent lacing, though. Taste: Bitter hops on arrival, and does in fact end on mild sweetness. Nothing that really stands out to me or blows my mind. Palate: Medium body, flavors don’t really persist. Overall: Seasonal? This is the special winter seasonal? It doesn’t really have anything special about it. It’s a nice red, but it doesn’t stand out to me in any way.

Drunk to celebrate my rating number 25,900. Bottled. A dark amber beer with a yellowish head. The aroma has notes of spices, caramel, malt, alcohol, and forest. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, alcohol, spices, and pine needles, leading to a dry spicy finish. Thanks yespr fir sharing.

12 oz bottle. Pours thick caramel orange with medium lacey off-white head. Aroma is fresh piney hops, just a hint of malt. Taste is big bitter hops up front followed by smooth rich caramel malt that shines as this warms. Seems slightly stronger than the 7.2% abv. Thick mouthfeel with lingering smooth bitterness. One of my favorite winter seasonals that I look forward to every year.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a small sized head of foamy tan colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a typically carbonated transparent copper brown colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was spicy and herb. The mouth feel was very tingly at the start and at the finish. The flavor contained notes of spices herbal and hops. A decent one that I would consider buying again.
