12oz bottle shared courtesy of Josh. Poured a medium and hazy amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of floral hops, pine, and some caramel. Tastes of the same; floral hops, pine, and caramel. This was definitely on the hoppier side (which is fine for me!).

(12oz. bottle, courtesy of ilovedarkbeer) Pours a lightly hazy amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of Pine-Sol, grass, caramel, toasted grain, and citrus. Flavor of hops (pine, earthy), caramel malt, and a hint of cinnamon.

Pours a clear copper bronze with a thin, lightly-lacing off-white head. Fresh, piney citrusy hop aroma has a subtle caramel malty background. Starts with some light toasty sweet caramel toffee, well-balanced with some bittering, resiny piney hops. A fresh very drinkable IPA, but could use a little more body.

Sampled draught at Widmer Gasthaus, Portland
Amber color, tawny even. Nose of fresh fruity hops & sweet medium malts. The flavor is hoppy as well with a creamy malty body. If they’re going for Irish red, they’ve got a bit too hoppy but I’m not complaining one bit!

Draft sample at Freakin Frog, Las Vegas. Poured a hazy copper color with an average creamy off-white head that was mostly diminishing and had good lacing. Good allspice and citrus hoppy aroma. Medium body with slick dry texture. Moderate well balanced smooth flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good holiday brew.

Thanks to Ken B. for sending 2 of these. Deep red pour with 1-finger, creamy, off-white head. Aroma of heavy fruit and red wine grapes, caramel malt. The flavor is hoppy, piney, with a mid-palate emergence of cabernet, brown sugar, spice, and fruit. Nice fruity finish with a solid balance and complexity.

Bottle (Oct 28, 2008 bottling). Head is initially small, frothy, off-white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark amber. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (resin, grapefruit), lightly yeasty (dough). Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, moderately to heavily bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation, moderately astringent. The 2006 batch seemed richer, this is kinda watery and ordinary. More citric and astringent this time, too. Not bad, but ehhh.

Bottle from BevMo. Reddish copper color with a slight off-white head. Fresh hoppy aroma. Medium plus body with creamy/chewy carbonation. The flavor is pine over caramel malt. Not quite dry. Not quite bitter. Quite tasty. Don’t pass it by.
