355 ml bottle.
Pours clear amber color with a medium sized head. Lots of resin and caramel on the nose, sweet malts with subtle hop notes. Sweet caramel flavor, malts, faint nutty notes, some resinous hops and distant wood on the finish. Alcohol stays fairly well hidden. Decent.

355ml bottle (Black Door, Helsinki)
Sweet sticky malts, fruity hops. Palate sweet and sticky too. Caramelly, and some horribly emasculated hops. Way too sweet. And sticky. Does cover the alcohol, though.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours mahogany reddish with small frothy lacing head and a fruity scent. Taste is pines, caramel, candy, boozy, herbs, nuts, spicy, some fruits. Not too bad.

Nice clear ruby with foggy head. Sweet hoppy aroma with spices, caramel malt, bit tropical. Medium body, round, balancing carbonation, crisp, dry finish with grapefruit and pepper. Enjoyed, nuanced and good flavors, nice color.

Bottled. Dark amber, clear beer with creamy head. Caramelly and slightly bready/biscuity malt aroma with peachy fruitiness, cantaloupe and some darker dried fruits. Flavor is quite the same: caramelly and bready sweetness and fruit juices with medium to strong, clean bitterness in the finish. Slightly toasted malt flavor in the aftertaste. Medium body and and quite slick texture.

Excellent winter season beer. Perfect timing also as it started to snow quite a bit. Strong warming beer wit good looks and spices.

35,5 cl bottle @ home
Aroma is somewhat mellow with peaches, apricot, toffee and hints of minerals. Flavour has apricot, minerals, some nettles, grapefruit and some toffee. Also some resiny tones. Could be amber ale as well. Clean and nicely hopped, but perhaps a bit boring.

Bottle. Small head, some lace. Clear copper. Dark malts and hops on aroma. Sweet, bitter, dark. Thick palate.

355 ml bottle. Clear coppery colour, thin off-white head. Sweetish caramel-malty aroma with fruity notes and piney hops. The flavour is like the aroma, sweetish toasted caramel malty, with a moderately bitter piney-hoppy finish. Pretty good.

A beautiful colour, reddish brown, a head is medium and beige. The nose has caramel malts, lemon and some wood, mild. Taste has caramel malts, quite dry, medium bitterness that isn’t very aromatic, some wood. Medium bodied, nice carbonation. Too mild beer, more character would be needed.
