Great winter warmer, nice red cooler, not to much winter warmer burn and just the right amount of hop biterness to make any hop head happy

From a seasonal sampler 12-pack, only one of which I’d categorize as a traditional holiday ale. This seems to be a re-purposed hoppy red ale. It doesn’t have IPA level hopping, but you can taste them against a red background with some caramel and other specialty grains. Doesn’t feel like 7%. Good lacing down the glass. Nice beer.

Clear amber with a decent tan head that lingers around. Strong hop aroma of citrus. Good amount of hop bitterness in this one with some sweetness from the malt. Lingering hop finish.

Enjoyed on tap @ milltown pub 12-1-13 in Silverton, oregon. The head is a sticky white foam that lingers. Nice moderate sweet malt body with some hops. The flavor tapers, but this is a good one- much like an imperial red. Copper -brown transparent color. 8.23 bd. 8 jd

Wonderful citrus hoppy aroma. Opaque amber color and nice foamy head. I love the hops in this seasonal ale and that in combination with the citrus is well balanced and delicious. Nice clean finish.

Nice effort, but I was looking for more sweet malt and less hops. I guess they felt that they had to have a strong hops footprint to be from the NW, but for this offering they could have dialed it back a bit. That said, still an enjoyable quaff.

12 oz. Bottle. Brown pour with a tan head. Lacing evident all through the glass. Malty start that finishes bitter and full of hops.

It is a mild winter beer with a strong taste that lasts a long time on your pallet once finished.
