COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Citra hops lend their name to this interpretation of a Golden Ale. But that’s not all they bring to the party. Their striking citrus aroma and thirst-quenching flavor are the perfect pairing for soft malt notes. Together they create a beer that’s full in flavor and uniquely refreshing.

Backlog of ratings. Thanks to someone at one of bu11zeye’s tastings. The look is golden in color, whitish head, and clear. The smell is wheat, malts, floral, and fruits. The taste is the same as the smell.

Golden yellow pour with a white head. Aroma is citrus. Taste is a nice malt backbone balanced with the light citrus hops. Soft mouth feel. Low carbonation. Little lacing.

On tap pours out a pale golden topped with a long lasting white ring. Aroma cereal malts, lite hops, and some sweatness. Taste of sweet malts, floral, and a touch of bitterness.

12oz bottle. Bottled 4/10/13. ABV labeled 4.4%. Poured into my DFH IPA glass. Mostly clear yellow color. Thin white head, leaves pretty nice lace. Few small particles floating in the body. Flavor is bready, doughy, with some lemon citrus. More smooth, crisp carbonation of moderate strength. Lighter body. More dry finish. Moderate sweet taste, light bitter. OK golden ale. Citra doesn’t really shine well here. It might not help that the beer is nearly 5 months old, but hey, excuse me for drinking a summer brew in the summer.

Hazy orange pour some white head. Aroma of canned peaches, orange, pine. Tastes like it has fruit juice in it. Light carb. Smooth syrupy mouthfeel; sweet though not overly sweet with no real bitterness. Tastes of peaches, black pepper. Delicious fruity non-fruit beer.

Bottle. Pours with a clear yellow hued body and a minimal white head with poor retention. Aromas are of citrus, papaya, tangerine and lemony hops. Mild biscuity malt character with lighter crystal notes. Slight iced tea, moderately low esters. Flavors are of grapefruit, tangerine hop notes, bready and almost grapenut like malt flavors. Citrusy, low bitterness. I would definitely prefer it to be a bit drier or more crisp. A touch flab, but easy to drink. Fuller carbonation.

Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. Lemony citrus and coriander, sweet and juicy fruity, and relatively low bitterness, followed by a clean and faintly hoppy finish. Good stuff, very drinkable.

12 oz. bottle poured to a Czech-pils glass showing a hazed, orangy gold color, white, billowy head foam that gradually faded, and ribbons & spots of lightly transparent lacing. The nose was expressive grapefruit, with a touch of tangerine & tropical sweetness, and some grassy nature. Considering the light body, the hop bitterness was quite amped, and more on the citrusy side than earthy. It worked well with and was even intensified by the seltzery, effervescent carbonation. Some tanginess and dryness finished the tasting. Quite refreshing.

Pours gold with a big white head. Smell is citrusy lemony and bright. Taste is hoppy and lemony with incredibly low bitterness. Very smooth and easy to drink and refreshing. Good simple summer beer.
