Citra hops lend their name to this interpretation of a Golden Ale. But thatís not all they bring to the party. Their striking citrus aroma and thirst-quenching flavor are the perfect pairing for soft malt notes. Together they create a beer thatís full in flavor and uniquely refreshing.

Bottle. A- Lemons, mangoes, grapefruit, peaches, pineapple, wheat. A- Golden orange color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Tropical fruits, citrus, wheat, slightly sweet, balanced. P- Light body, tart texture, average carbonation, smooth fruity finish. O- I love citra hops and this beer uses them perfectly. A very smooth and refreshing blonde ale. Widmer Brothers nailed it with this one.

A good summer beer. There was very little aroma when it was poured and not much head on the top. Overall it was a good beer I would have to have again.

Light apricot color, small head. Delicious summit hop aroma that is a bit lighter, hence the Citra hop. Leather and old library book smell, which just conjours up the good old memories of succcess. Earthen, doughy, deli taste. Long finish that feels like a light wax. Donít question it.

Comes out of the tap a slightly hazy golden amber with an average white head. Strong, hoppy, fruity and slightly sweet aroma calls for a taste. Hoppy flavor borders on evergreen but surprisingly is not bitter, and has a nice fruity undertone and a hint of malt. Fizzy, lively texture is truly lip-smacking. Bottoms up for summer!

This is just about a perfect Summer beer. Thatís tough to do. The big overall score here is due to this being a beer that meets the needs of hot weather. The citra hop does something odd here, not just citric aromas but also melon and pepper. The body is light an fine just like that -- no need for body enhancers. Itís crisp and light. Hops are more aromatic than bitter and thereís little left on the tail of this beer. Perfect easy drinking. Canít wait for more beers like this. A godsend!

Growler from BigZ Beverage. Pours a clear golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of sweaty and grassy hops, bready malt, garlicky hops. Flavor of apricot and light fruits with a garlicky and grassy hop finish. Also some apricot sweetness in the finish. Tasty stuff and at 4.3%, could drink it all day! 8/4/8/4/15 [3.9/5]
