The Columbia Hop was near extinction when we brought it back to create this crisp, easy drinking common ale. With a rich amber hue, Columbia Common, the new Spring Seasonal Release for 2013, has a Mild grassy and spicy hop notes are complemented by a fruity character and clean finish brought on by the use of hefeweizen and lager yeasts and unique malt bill. It’s the perfect beer for Spring. Prost!

Pours hazy deep brown, no head. Nose of slinky caramel malt. Taste is very mild malt, a touch of caramel and bitterness, not much else. Nothing to brag about and not really a spring beer in my opinion..

"Spring" seasonal. Only date on here is for december though. It is a lightly malty, pretty crappy brew.

The head is ok, the body gold-red. It smells sweet, malty, a bit boring. The taste is malty, mild, less hoppy, full bodied, but not that interesting. Medium. 11/9/9/8/-/9

bottle. Golden with small head. Mild hops with slight fruitness complements the California common style well. Crisp.

Bread, bread crust, toasty, sweet malt aroma and flavor, with subtle herbal-ish lager yeast character. Moderate bitterness

12 oz bottle from New Seasons - Has a similar aroma to other malty lagers. Kind of like a carpet after spilling a lot of beer on it. Copper hue. Nice summer beer. I’d drink more, but I can’t say I’d go out of my way to find it.

Widmer Brothers Columbia Common: No discernible aroma to speak of. Goes down like a light beer with a decent enough flavor. Try it if it's on sale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a clear orange amber with not much head or lacing. Aroma is a light bready aroma with just a touch of sour, and maybe a little funk. Taste is nutty, bready, earthy with that same funk and moderate carbonation.

12 oz. bottle- Pours clear amber with a one finger head that reduces. Aroma is spicy hops, what seems like banana. The taste is grainy, basic beery, dry. The body is medium and carbonation is high. Not bad, simple.

Nice deep golden color with a slight haze. Malty bittery aroma also some kinda other sweet off smell. This isnt a good smelling beer by any means. Smells almost stale. The taste si very flowery slightly sweet with a good bite of bitter. The carbonation amake for a good buttery creamy mouth feel. Not a bad taste. Its a medium bodied brew. Worth a try fir sure.
