With a rich amber hue, Columbia Common, the new Spring Seasonal Release for 2013, has a Mild grassy and spicy hop notes are complemented by a fruity character and clean finish brought on by the use of hefeweizen and lager yeasts and unique malt bill. It’s the perfect beer for Spring. Prost!

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Pours a clear copper color with a thin fizzy tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel, some breadiness, floral hops. The taste is caramel malts, toasted malts, apples, floral hops. Medium bodied. Solid.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Wegmans Leesburg. It pours a nice amber color with a decent off white head. The nose reaks of cooked vegetables. Unfortunately the flavor follows suit with a dry, California Common finish. I had to drain pour this one.

Alphadelic (1751) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 9, 2013
A bright brown with a real fluffy white head. The nose is malty with a crisp lager yeast character and some lightly peppery hops. There is an immediate burst of light bitterness. This then gives way to a real buttery popcorn sweetness which subsides giving an interesting bitter finish. Very drinkable, a great addition to their line-up.

A great looking glass of beer with a deep orange color & a very big tight head that leaves lots of lacing on the glass.

The aroma is bready with some toasty malt... some yeastiness in there... not a whole lot of excitement from the nose, but it’s not unpleasant at all.

The flavor is nice and malty, a bit of husky graininess is featured throughout. The hops are fruit forward and very pleasant. The beer is lightly bitter....

Not too bad.

Im partial to the name and the label because it reminds me of home. Tasty beer smooth and minor hoppy. I’d get it again.

Floral, bready, and caramel aromas, with some mild, dusty notes. Clear bronze, with a fairly lasting, off-white head. Clean and well balanced, with toasty, nutty malts and earthy bitterness. Light-medium bodied with lively carbonation, and a clean finish.

Bottle. Pours a clear bronze amber with a thin spotty white head. Nose is watery, light toasted malts. Flavor is okay but still sorta watery and bland. kinda fruity, light easy drinking finish. More drinkable but also less complex than the king of Cali Common, Anchor Steam.

12 oz bottle from a six pack bought at Stein’s in Rathdrum, ID. Pours clear gold with a medium collapsing off-white head. Aroma is grainy, SweeTarts, lemon rind, bready. Taste is lightly bittersweet, bready. Carbonation and body are medium. A nice, simple, easy-drinking brew.

Draft. Aroma is a little hop with some dank. The appearance is a light brown. The taste is kind of of esb with some hops. The palate is a muted hoppy. Overall, this beer is ok. Not bad, but would try others over it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
