The Columbia Hop was near extinction when we brought it back to create this crisp, easy drinking common ale. With a rich amber hue, Columbia Common, the new Spring Seasonal Release for 2013, has a Mild grassy and spicy hop notes are complemented by a fruity character and clean finish brought on by the use of hefeweizen and lager yeasts and unique malt bill. Itís the perfect beer for Spring. Prost!

Draft. Aroma is a little hop with some dank. The appearance is a light brown. The taste is kind of of esb with some hops. The palate is a muted hoppy. Overall, this beer is ok. Not bad, but would try others over it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A finger of head on a medium straw colored body. The aroma smells like a sack of grain. A light, dry bitterness; a mild sweet note with a medium dry, grain finish. The texture is crisp and light. A flavorful but still light ale.

Clear amber pour with a medium off-white head. Aroma is caramel and just a bit of citrus. Taste is rather subdued, mostly caramel malt with a touch of grassy/citrus hops on the finish.

Clean label, tawny, clear beer, light, lacy head. Slightly sweaty, sweetish tea aroma. Zippy hops, tangy, toasty. Good effervescence, medium body. Marmalade on toast impression from the finish. This isnít pretentious, but itís enjoyable. ABC, Betton.

12 oz bottle, Whole Foods Columbus. Red-copper; small head dissipates to a tiny ring. Aroma toast, caramel, nuts; a little fruity and peppery. Flavor malt, caramel, a little grainy; pretty clean; light but sharp bitter finish. Medium-thin body; barely sticky on the lips; medium coarseness, lively carbonation. Unremarkable but well done in the style.
