Tallahassee, Fl - ABC Fine Wine & Spirits - Betton - 12 oz bottle. Sparkling dark copper pour, light, but persistent off white head with a bit of lacing. Aroma has some nutty accents, a bit of toffee. Flavor is full bodied with some earthy notes, some toffee-like sweetness, a hint of licorice and some underlying nutty bitterness that makes this quite appealing. Mouthfeel is pleasantly sticky.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, clear orange pour with white head that lasts relatively well. Aroma brought notes of grass, slight cracker, biscuit, hints of lemon, vanilla, hints of honey, pretty mild but lots in there. Taste is a mix of grass, cracker, biscuit, slight earth, honey notes, finishing slightly bitter, dry. Not overly complex, but drinkable with no big off flavors.

The aroma is not unlike a cheap adjunct laden macro lager with dirt, yeast, and herbal hops. The appearance is light amber with a small head. The taste is really nice with malt, bread, fruit, and mild bitterness. The palate is smooth. Overall not a true common but a solid beer.

Not much in the aroma. A nice orange hue. This has a great first crisp bite. The beer is quite nice. Light yet with some Carmelly list flavor. Pleased.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jgb9348 (3970) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - MAR 15, 2013
Crisp light amber coloured body with a bright copper glow and a nice one centimetre tall white head. Aroma of grassy and herbal hops, some light malt, a hint of caramel and a nice hit of yeast. Light-bodied; Sharp grassy and herbal hops with a good malt backbone, some light sugars and a little nutty finish - perhaps from the malt. Aftertaste shows a very light hoppiness with some grass and a less pungent flavour than Anchor Steam and a more refined palate for sure. Overall, a decent beer, and good for the style - simple to drink for the Spring and a welcome addition. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Giant Food in Arlington (Lee Highway), Virginia on 12-March-2013 for US$1.67 sampled at home in Washington on 15-March-2013.

Bottle. Copper color and a good sized wheat head that is thick and laces the glass. Immediately recognizable as s California common style from the yeast aroma. Dry malt and white cracker flavor.
