COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A creamy, flavorful Amber that’s smooth and easy to drink. Drop Top is fermented by an American Ale yeast to produce beer with a clean flavor and fruity aroma. The velvet texture is from the use of Honey malt and a touch of milk sugar. The Magnum bittering hops provide soft bitterness, while Simcoe, a newly developed hop variety, adds unique hop flavor and aroma.

Herbacious nose and orange in color. Lacking in any real flavor, possibly flat. A little fizziness on the palate but thats about all the life this one could muster.

Pretty much lawnmower beer, but would be quite good on a hot day. Peach-amber color, lots of sweet malts in the nose. Flavor is a bit tart with grapefruit, good sweetness. Like the palate, very soft and smooth. Nothing exciting, but good for what it is.

Clear amber with small off-white head. Aroma is grapefruit with some sweetness. Taste is soft grapefruit, moderately sweet, peach. Overall, an innocuous beer.

Quite impressed. Hoppy but not overwhelming, the hops really stand out. Citrusy taste, definitely taste grapefruit. Widmer succeeds because this beer isn't over the top.

Moderate carbonation flatten rapidly in this orange amber selection. Musty aroma translates to flat hopped tasted with a soapy finish.

Not sure exactly what is missing here but this is one boring brew. Lacks flavor/character. If the objective was to make an ale that would not offend the Budmilloors crowd they have done it!!!

Light amber color. Medium head. Aroma is malty. A light bodied amber. Malts are nutty and slightly sweet. Hops are slightly spicy. Kind of a lighter flavored amber. Very drinkable, but somewhat lacking in flavor. What flavor there is is nice, but it needs to be turned up a notch. I am probably being a little critical, it a drinkable amber, light and refreshing. Don’t really notice the lactose (milk sugar). Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is dry. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

slight spritziness intermixed in the hoppy aroma, blah light orange color, weak body, malty with veggie hoppiness

Color is a pretty light orange-amber with light head and speckled lace. Aroma is extremely light, but has fruity tones as advertised. Slight fruitiness combines with bright but subtle hops to produce a spritely taste for an amber. Carbonation is kept light. The finish is slightly dry and quite clean. The body is medium-light and the overall feel is very smooth here, perhaps influenced by the presence of lactose. I prefer a bit more overall substance in ambers, but this one is purposefully on the light side, and Widmer substantially succeeds in this mission to produce a quaffable, smooth amber...Very drinkable...
