A creamy, flavorful Amber that’s smooth and easy to drink. Drop Top is fermented by an American Ale yeast to produce beer with a clean flavor and fruity aroma. The velvet texture is from the use of Honey malt and a touch of milk sugar. The Magnum bittering hops provide soft bitterness, while Simcoe, a newly developed hop variety, adds unique hop flavor and aroma.

Bottle. Pours light amber with only a thin ring of foam around the edge. Smells doughy with hints of caramel and fruit. Smooth caramel and dough flavor reminiscent of an English bitter. Balanced, leaning slightly toward sweet. Somewhat bland but very easy to drink. Could help convert macro drinkers.

12 oz. bottle. Appearance: slight offwhite head, orange straw color, cloudy, ok lacing. Aroma: peat, straw, light fruitiness, roasted oats even. Palate: light body, soft carbonation, thin texture. Taste: sweet grain that lingers, tastes like oats to me, musty oats. Overall, pretty horrible beer.

Copper clear beer, moderate off-white head fades down to a stable collar. Good aroma, light and biscuit-y. Nice undertones in the taste, malty and relatively mild, errs towards thin but not bad. Palate is easy, good character. Not a gold medal - honorable mention.

This is good beer out of the tap or bottle especially if its really cold. I’ve found that those of us who like it like it a lot and buy it all the time. Its good "take anywhere" micro brew.
