Very nice fruity citrusy hops, sweet pale malt. Great hop profile, with tons of flavor.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 Wittales (447) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - AUG 2, 2012
Appearance was orange copper gold with creamy lasting whitish 2 finger head, lacing throughout glass. Aromas are sweet caramel honey malts with soft pine, herbs and spice and citrus fruits. Taste was a thing of beauty with sweet malty backbone then peach, berry, cherry, orange spicey hops, but not overpowering. Palate was silky creamy CO2 with balanced body, then long fruity sweet slightly dryish finish. Wonderful.

Golden brown pour, fruity aroma. Deliciously fruity and sweet...and yes, I get the berries. Bitter pink grapefruit/orange citrus bite. Well balanced and assertive. Good.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 raphael (762) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 5, 2008
I had heard nothing of this beer, having missed the OBF. handing me the beer the bartender said "it’s 10 percent." i had him repeat it as it made no sense (loud htrash music playing in the Slow Bar (great place, looks fine and has gourmet sustainable food). This smells good, unqiue hop aroma, flike a forest with a few grapefruits, moist & green, can’t figure out what else, a ripe kiwi; and something almost musky, approaching leather. clear reddish amber with thin off-white head. first splash seems a little flat,t he ralize its the slightly oily weight of it, some hop realted. despite the hops, the balance is on the sweet side (which is characteristic of my own brews), but doesnt go overboard, even through a pint. Hint of maraschino, oak, swampy (but clean) hops. i keep drinking more to describe the taste thus getting less capable.

Nice and heavy. A whole lot of hoppy flavor, a ton more alcohol. Excellent job, Widmer Bros.

Very good. Pours orange with a thin white head in a frosted pint glass. Aroma is strong with hops from start to finish, almost a barley wine; citrus. Flavor also is strong start to finish with hops of course, with the flavor is associate with barley wine. Citrus, grapefruit, slightly syrupy.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 negron (33) - Stamford, Connecticut, USA - FEB 17, 2012
Most notable is the tangy finish. Nice blend of commanding hops and malty sweetness. A very enjoyable drink, especially with grilled meats.
4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 HoochieMama1 (32) - - FEB 22, 2012
Bottled. Sweet sticky tang aroma. Oily texture, tart up front, a very well-balanced hoppy bitterness that goes and goes like a five dollar hooker who takes her job too seriously. Savory. Citrus and tangerine complements that are with you till the last drop. Very tasty beverage.

It seems I keep forgetting to rate these wider beers. I remember this beer as having a strong bitter hop taste to the point that the imbalance gave it a poor finish. Good but not great.
