2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Brouwerij (501) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 13, 2013
Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy orange gold with a large, coarse white head. Settles in minutes with minimal lacing. Aroma is wheaty, sweet, mildly fruity and musty. Flavor is mildly wheaty, sweet, with a bready, dough, mildly bitter, yeasty finish. Mildly wheaty ale, this is no hefeweizen. Soft carbonation, medium body, and mildly crisp texture, could have a fuller mouthfeel. A drinkable wheat ale, they have better offerings.

Cloudy light amber colour with low creamy head and medium body. Nose of light yeast. Taste of light yeast, mild hops, very green sour bananas, green apples and hay. Easy to drink, goes down nice, although I expected little bit more.

Nice and easy to go Ale with some wheat and citrus in the back. Still a bit hops in the dominance giving it even more freshness. Thumbs up...but...this one is way behind what you would call rocket science.

Slabiak.

Pours a hazy orangey color with a generous foamy white head. Aroma is lightly malty with citrus notes. Sweet flavor with faint hop notes. Medium body. Vigorous carbonation. Not bad. I'd have another.

On tap. Very enjoyable and refreshing for a hefe. Pours a little bit on the darker side.

16oz at Keystone in Hyde Park, with a ’dilla. Totally hazy orange - yellow color. Thin white head. Few loose bits of lace. Medium body. Kind of crisp carbonation. Bit of a rougher texture to it, though, kind of a metallic taste to it as well. Light bit of sourness, even. Light sweet, some spice, light citrus (?), not really any vanilla nor banana that you’d expect from a hefeweizen. Drinks like a macro-produced wheat ale that happens to be hazy, no comparison to the decent examples of hefeweizen that are readily available anywhere

Just bought some to drink with some Mexican food, what can you say, sometimes beers like this are better than a soda pop. Really no distinctive taste other than a slightly better Bud or Miller clone. Not much to say or rate, but better than those case 7-11 beers!

Pours cloudy yellow. With thin white head. No lacing. Smells of lemon and wheaty grain slightly earthy. Tastes like a well made shock top. Good not great. Worth trying. Thin with some carbonation. Thin in the mouth but decent overall. I wouldn’t buy it but I’ll drink it all day.
