COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A golden unfiltered wheat beer that is truly cloudy and clearly superb.

On tap. Cloudy golden appearance, detectable citrus flavoring with maybe a little spice - who knows, the bartender served it way too cold. A good American wheat, though I prefer Sam Adams Summer Ale.

The guy at the beer store told me that "it does taste like a German wheat." Umm... No. It's cetainly better than many American Weizen that I've had, but it falls short of some of my favorites from Germany. Cloudy in appearance, it almost looks tempting. But when you take a sip and you have very little taste or characteristic of a German wheat. It's not bad, it's just bland. This is my favorite syle, and American brewers ALWAYS screw it up. It's not bad, it just doesn't taste really good. I have nothing more to say about this one. Later note: Haha. AlabasterJones says it the best. What's the point?

Pretty straight forward hefeweizen with out any bells & whistles, which is great if you wanna jump into a jester's outfit that doesn't have any bells or felt shoulder pads, but i mean what's the point? Do yourself a favor and get the best damn jester's suit this world has ever seen.

There's really not much flavor here, a little bit of spicy hops and some wheat, but there's a reason everyone puts lemons in it.

Pour cloudy yellow with a very small white head. A good yeasty aroma. Somewhat thin. Weak flavor but well balanced. A nice acidic (lemon) aftertaste. Not bad.

Great golden yellow in color. I love the looks of an unfiltered beer. I had this on draught and with a small lemon slice mixed in. No head at all. Probably the way they poured it. No lacing either. It has a good combination of hops and malts but they are both weak. Not a strong tasting beer, but at least a good tasting one.

Not much of an aroma - somewhate bready and yeasty. Apperance is slightly golden yellow. Flavor is not overbearing and detrimentally so. Nothing stands out in this beer, just a standard boring wheat flavor. Mouthfeel is average for the style.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2004 Bland. I agree with beandip when she says it tastes like a pilsner..lacks in the flavor area.

I think a lot of the ratings below are a bit harsh on this beer. It has a pleasant aroma and flavor (although admittedly they are weak), similar to Harpoon's UFO but lacking its citrus lemon tartness. However, this is what you'd expect from a hefeweiz. I'd prefer it if it had a better mouthfeel, but, other than that, its an acceptable wheat beer.

I think this is a pretty bland, nothing great about it, hefeweizen. It pours with a cloudy pale golden body, as you would expect from a hefe, topped by a medium thick white head with a good amount of lacing. The aroma is pretty much non-existant, although some lemony wheaty notes were observed. the flavor is not memerable at all. It's slightly bitter and hoppy(?) with slight wheat notes and very slight lemon and yeasty notes. It's light bodied, smooth and refreshing to drink, but so are so many other hefeweizens that have some character.
