One of my favorites...the best part is the bottlecaps.

Did not fulfill the rave reviews I had heard about it, but still a refreshing tasting hefeweizen. I still believe Pyramdid’s offering to be the best of the pacific northwest. Nice hoppiness and maybe a bit citrusy/acidic for some, but still relatively smooth.

This is by far one of the worst wheat beers i have had. It looked awesome, a great cloudy golden color with a nice white head. There was a slight aroma of citrus and hops, but the taste was just creamy with an unpleasant bitter finish. I struggled to finish this. Pretty bad.

Its a crime to even call this a hefeweizen, and a joke to categorize it as an ’American Weizen’.There is no such thing, just as American Champiagn is called sparkling wine, this should be renamed something else. Aside from the cloudy appearence it is nothing like a true Hefeweizen. I put it to the test in a bar in Seattle with a blind fold and three German hefeweizen. If there are any american hefewewizen that come remotely close Id love to hear about it. This , unfortunately is a fraud and a hoax.

Thinish wheat beer - OK, but
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 adamlau (76) - California, USA - DEC 16, 2001
Medium carbonation with a natural cloudy appearance. Mid carries characteristic yeast-wheat flavors. Somewhat of a sharp finish. Slice of lemon improves the citrus aspects, as well as the finish of this brew.

Beautiful bright color and good head, not spicy like many German hefes but quite yeasty and fruity. Light mouthfeel but very refreshing on a warm day.
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 kingstratego (82) - Grävenwiesbach, GERMANY - OCT 1, 2001
Despite the suspicious lemon on the label and the statement, that they learned the recipe in Dusseldorf (where no Hefeweizen is brewed) a quite ok beer. Far from German but ok.
