Can't imagine being in Poartland and not having one of these. And can always tell where it's being served the second I see one as it is so visually identifiable. Cloudy looking, but clean and crisp and bitter - not the hefeweizen I normally think of, but one I like.

What can I say about this one. Very little distinguishes itself other than its consistancy in being unspectacular in most respects. Very little head/lacing. Pleasant and slightly sweet taste and that familiar cloudy unfiltered feel. Nice but not very noteable otherwise

Very clean tasting beer. Not much flavor or aroma though. People put the lemons in to give the beer a little flavor.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a very well rounded GOOD beer.
Appearance is cloudy golden; it's very bright and attractive. Not much of a head.
Smells slightly sweet... and lots of wheat.
EASY drinking- goes down smooth. Slightly sweet, and tastes just like it smells.
This is a very good session beer. It's smooth, easy, and tasty. And though I'm not a huge fan of the style, this is one I'd turn to again next time I'm in an area that sells it.

on tap and in the bottle: when it comes to wheat beers, this is one of the better ones for the americans. this is readily available everywhere here in las vegas (or pyramid). beutiful yellow color, hazy with frothy white head. please dont drink these with a lemon, it ruins all the flavor....ask the germans if they drink their weizens with a lemon?

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a nice thick orange cloudy color. thick fluffy white head that dissipates slowly, leaving a good quantity of lace. Aroma of lemon and orange, mixed with a very light wheat scent. Bitter taste to start, leaving a sweetness like oranges. Light mouthfeel. Refreshing.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Wonderful appearance... poured a murky yellow with some sediment and a nice fluffy white head. Aroma is of banana, citrus, and maybe some pear. Surprisingly hoppy, some spice and fruit in the taste.. a little too carbonated for my taste. Moderately bitter finish. It's OK, nothing outstanding, but drinkable.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
UPDATED: DEC 8, 2005 It looked great ... wonderful cloudy apricot golden brew, and I was really hopeful. Thin watery mouthfeel, which is really surprising given the wonderful appearance. Flavor is not bad, with some banana, some spice, like a real hefe, but less than I expected of it, given the appearance. Disappointing finish. // Rerated December 2005. Less interesting than I remembered. Less flavor intensity. Looked like a Hefe. Tasted like a under hpped lager with a lemon.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: FEB 2, 2004 Draught. I had this about 4 years ago in a huge tall hefe glass. It was amazing. I'll never forget it. Rich, grainy, viscous, unfiltered. Was like drinking cream. Puney on taste & hops(I prefer pale ales)like most American hefes though. Will have to do it again sometime.
