2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle on the golf couse, as part of my "I guess I’ll get this and rate it because it’s the best thing here" series. And I miss rating sometimes, and do what I can to get back in the game. I’ve had this many times before, but this time is a just straight out of the bottle, non garnished, during a surprisingly good round. Grainy lemon aroma. Flavor is almost non existent, which is different then what I remember from this. Creamy body. Soft hop spice. I always say there is no such thing as an American hefe, but I change my mind. This is it.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from 12 ounce bottle at Goebel’s Pub & Kitchen (formerly the West Side location of The Holy Grail) on Ebenezer Road on March 12, 2016. Cloudy yellow hue, aroma of hard candy and banana, sweet spicy taste with bitter non-hop finish. Might have been a tad old (bottle had date of Oct 15 15 date on it) but not that different from when I had it a few years ago.

Typical American Weissbier, not as good as a German Weißbier. Pour cloudy with no yeast sediment. Looses head and racist like an orange peel that was discarded. Dumped it half way. I don't understand why there are so many fantastic American craft brews but no weissbier.

2.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 12/20
Head disappeared fast. Aroma sort of sweet but not prevalent. Good carbonation. For a hefe I would expect more cloves/banana. I would rate this the Budlight of hefe. Drinkable, but not stellar. Better warm.

En hvedeøl dog uden smagen af syntetisk banan. Den har en fin sødme og humlen er næsten fraværende.

355ml bottle, trade with Skinnyviking. Shared with Finn. Unclear golden, lacing head and lacing. Ripe banana on the nose. Similar taste of ripe banana, wheat and a bit of yeasty fruitiness. Soft in the mouth. So and so (Tromsø 16.12.2015).
