A golden unfiltered wheat beer that is truly cloudy and clearly superb.

Nice aroma of citrus and lemon. Pale cloudy yellow appearance. Slightly sweet wheat bread flavor. Not much else, finishes with a metallic bitterness. Unimpressive.

Bottle at home. Pours a cloudy yellow. Aroma is some yeast and wheat. Flavor follows but not much there for flavor. Light to medium bodied. A refreshing beer.

lusikka (6603) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUL 19, 2014
355 ml bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow colour with a small foamy head. Aroma is very much like a bun dough with it’s yeastiness. Some sweet corn-like notes as well. Flavour of sugary sweetness, corn, yeastiness, plastic, cardboard and grains. Light bodied. Tastes very weird and not enjoyable at all.

Pours hazy golden color with a small head. Herbal and grassy aroma, some faint wheat and yeast also. Yeast and corn on the flavor, faint wheat, apricot and herbs. Not very tasty.

Aroma has bun dough, yeasty notes and hints of citrus. Flavour is somewhat tart with citrus, some yeasty notes, and bun dough. Messy and watery.

Bottle at Frederiksberg Ølbar. No head. Hazy yellow green body. Pretty watery fruity and mild lemon coriander aroma and flavor with little hops bitterness, low carbonation and a short finish.

Bottle from Desmond’s Next Door, Kimmage [130714] BBE 26/07/14
Orange, murky, lots of floating bits of yeast, thin white head completely dissipates, poor appearance
Aroma of some sweet US caramel malts, no usual hefe aromas
Taste of soft pale caramel, yeasty, soft bitter hop, cereals, touch of soft pale fruits, no banana and cloves
Palate - soft carb, medium body, slightly creamy, fairly sweet. Finish as main flavour
Overall - Hardly like a Hefeweizen - just came across as a rather poor wheat beer - but the bottle was almost out of date

No real clove or banana in the aroma. Nice white head and a nice layer of yeast to pour into the beer. Overall the only real standout flavor is a slight lemony flavor which is probably hop derived. I was expecting this beer to be more "German" but it is nonetheless very clean and refreshing ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From specialty bottle, designed and bottled as release number 3 of Widmer’s 30 Beers for 30 Years. Rating small anniversary batch. Slightly cloudy, very effervescent golden color. Aroma is clove, banana, lemon, and wheat. Taste is banana, clove, wheat, bubblegum, and bread. Fizzy mouthfeel, with a good amount of fruit and wheat in the finish.
