3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap served with a lemon slice. Pours a hazy golden orange with a white head with ok lacing. Smells of wheat, lemon, and light malt. Tastes of all the same things. Mouthfeel is light and creamy with good carbonation. Overall I have to give Widmer props for being one of the first brewers in the US to brew a hefeweizen but it falls short of greatness.

From a bottle. Could not appreciate color or head. Some citrus, grass and malt. Light and refreshing. Paired well with grilled fajitas...

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle at home. Pours murky yellow. Lots of bubbles. Little bit of sediment. Head dissipates. Plenty of yeast, wheat in aroma. Slight citrus note but not that strong. Flavour is light lemon, bread, biscuit. Lots of carbonation which leads to refreshing mouthfeel. Flavour is incomplete and is a bit stale on finish. It’s a solid okay.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle: Golden, hazy, some floaties visible, small loose off-White head; fruity-caramelly nose with a wheaty-yeasty touch; moderate sweet-sourish flavour, a delicate bitterness included, light bodied with a slightly tart MF; dryish and mildly lingering hoppy-wheaty finish. accompanied by a faint fruityness. Quite O.K., nothing special...

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Appearance was cloudy light gold with diminishing rocky white 2 finger head, no lacing. Aromas are lemon, wheat grains, slight dough yeasts, no alcohol. Taste are citrus lemon and orange, wheat malts and pils sweetness with clean yeasts. Palate was smooth creamy Co2 with light body, then a very citrusy wheaty clean finish. A easy drinker, but to clean of yeasts for me, needs more estery fruity yeasts.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20
The taste was very light refreshing but not sustained for more than about 30 seconds. Good aroma light floral and citrus. Not bad at all - but nothing special either.....a refreshing summer beer - ideal in the jacuzzi with factor 15.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottle purchased in Hopkins. Cloudy, unfiltered visual. Aroma has some citrus notes with a little bit of malt. It seems to be a lower quality hefeweizen. Definitely taste the wheat but the bitterness prevails. Aftertaste really below average. Like the brewery overhopped this one.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Like that bottle design and artwork of Widmer Bros. Pale orange in the glass, a lot of bigger suspended parts. Low carbonated, small head. Apple and yeast on the nose. Starts light herb, apple, hints of citrus. Low bitterness in the aftertaste. I expected more. A lot more.
