jedimasternick (89), Tucson, Arizona, USA Dec 30, 2002 Similar to Henry Weinhards Weiss in that it is quite plain, when compared to European Weiss. It does not have any contributing flavors or aftertastes including those usually described as clove. It is your standard American Weiss for those who do not enjoy the additional flavors of tradtional Weiss.
hop_lover (139), Corpus Christi, Texas, USA Sep 5, 2008 One of the better hefes Iv’e had. It pours a beautiful hazy golden color. A nice head that stays. The flavor is smooth and silky. Very bubbly and fruity. bblack99 (11), Kansas City, Missouri, USA Sep 3, 2008 On tap at Henry’s 12th St. in Portland. This is a run-of-the-mill Hefeweizen. Cloudy gold in color with a finger of head and a touch of citrusy flavor. Not the quality of Boulevard Unfiltered Wheat, or even Blue Moon. RunDWP (161), San Jose, California, USA Aug 25, 2008 Bottle. Just not much to recommend here. Standard wheat beer taste, with little yeast, spice or complexity. Detected a bit of an off-metallic taste. Just not a lot going on here, and what little is happening is not all good. NJBeerman013 (586), Trenton, New Jersey, USA Aug 23, 2008 Draft. Pours a cloudy, warm, golden in color with a big, foamy head. It has just a touch of citrus along with the yeasty, doughy aroma. The flavor is a bit sweet and orangy. It has a medium body and a mild finish. All in all, a solid but average hefe. DonKi11uminati (12), , California, USA Aug 21, 2008 Bottle. Pours with some nice lacing, golden and hazy with a frothy head. Aroma and palate hint of lemons, light carbonation. Medium hops and quick finish. Refreshing, although the flavor didn’t impress as much as I had hoped.
