12 oz. bottle.
My complaint with Hefeweizens is that in my experience, this is the one style of beer were there is so little variation and creativity. I will not say" they all taste alike",,,,,,,but...Of the last eight Hefeweizens that I have had..I could probably not tell one from another!
This beer is different. It is distinct.
It is almost like a Hefeweizen - Lite Beer, and I think that it is good.
I found the aroma rather weak, but this is one beautiful beer sitting in the glass and coming at you as it bubbles up by itís carbonation.
I found it just slightly a bit watery.
"Widmer is one good brewery. I call them the Weybacher of the West Coast"

"Hazy, dark gold color and basically no head. Very delicate, sweet aroma of hops and wheat malts. Taste is also sweet and delicate; mostly wheat, hay, grains. Medium body, velvet texture, and almost flat carbonation. Like the rest of the beer the finish is soft and somewhat watered down." Yes... I agree 100%... except I really enjoyed this since I donít normal care for Hefe/Wheat Ale.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
A decent wheat ale but misleading to label it "Hefe". Decent wheat notes but no banana or clove.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
330ml bottle poured in a tulip glass.
A: Pours a hazy yellow "wheat" color. Small white head (???). Not much lacings left (a real Hefeweizen would have a huge head)
S: Very discreet to a "Hefeweizen" beer. It does not smells the traditional "banana & cloves". It smells malt and hops. Not bad but...
T: Follows the nose. It does not taste like a Hefeweizen, Itís a malty and refreshing beer but thatís all
M: Light body and low carbonation
D: Not bad

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle from Hy-Vee Wine & Spirts in Cedar Falls, IA poured into a Weizen glass. Pours a nice yellow/orange but lacks much of a head and what little is there dissipates quickly. Aroma was of bread with fruity notes. Taste was the same but with a somewhat bitter finish but this appears to be typical of the American Hefeweizens. A bit hoppy for my tastes but a good American beer nonetheless.
