3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz. bottle.
My complaint with Hefeweizens is that in my experience, this is the one style of beer were there is so little variation and creativity. I will not say" they all taste alike",,,,,,,but...Of the last eight Hefeweizens that I have had..I could probably not tell one from another!
This beer is different. It is distinct.
It is almost like a Hefeweizen - Lite Beer, and I think that it is good.
I found the aroma rather weak, but this is one beautiful beer sitting in the glass and coming at you as it bubbles up by it’s carbonation.
I found it just slightly a bit watery.
"Widmer is one good brewery. I call them the Weybacher of the West Coast"

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Cloudy orange with a white head that fades fast. Slight bready aroma with some banana, cloves. Light bodied, well on the way to watery. Rather bland with modest bready sweetness, then a somewhat harsh spiciness at the end.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Light aroma of wheat, some notes of banana. But its’s really differ from bavarian hefeweizen. Taste is lightly bitter, lightly spicy. Easy-drinking, light-bodied. Nothing interesting.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
my first Hefeweisen, This was hazy orangeish gold, thin white head fair amount of carbonation. Aroma was pleasant with banana and wheat. Flavor was not bad, light with touches of banana and toasted wheat. a tiny touch of bitterness. smooth and not too long on the palate. not my last, not a bad beer, curious to try others.

2.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This brew is an easy start to hefe variety. Its more sour than the likes of Boulevard’s.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Pours a hazy amber from a tap. Wheaty aroma and flavor, none of the classic banana yeastiness I expect in a hefe. Meh.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Slight notes of banana, subtle spiciness. Easy drinking enough, not really clovey which is good for me. Wife really likes this one I stole one of hers to rate.

We just just tasted one of the first if not the first Northwest Hefeweizen of the night. It was nice but safe.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle to tulip. Pours bright light orange, dissipated white ring head. Aroma of banana, clove, wheat and Belgian yeast. Taste of same. Finish is semi-dry. Moderate carb. Standard Belgian style hef, not the juicy American style like Shocktop or BlueMoon.
