Perfectly smooth, strong, silky, and sweet. Easily Widmer Brothers’ best beer.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
How am I the first to rate this?!? Anyway, bottle. Pours a very dark brown (almost black) with a moderate, though quickly disappearing, head. Some nice roasted flavors to the nose. Just a little bit of sweetness to the taste, but some nice roasting to the taste as well. Happy to drink this one.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Happy to try this new offering from Widmer Bros. Pours almost black with short tan head. Very rich malt body with chocolate and roast flavor, and just the right amount of sweetness. Very good milk stout.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
A - Pours a dark brown-black color with a finger of frothy chocolate-khaki colored head atop. The head fades down at a fairly slow pace leaving behind some nice lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of roasted chocolate malts, lactose sweetness, some earthy hops, black licorice, and coffee.
T - Starts off with a mix of roasted chocolate malts with some lactose sweetness and black licorice. Through the middle, some roasted coffee comes through with some earthy hops and some more lactose. The finish is a mix of roasted chocolate malts, coffee, lactose, and earthy hops.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a dry, roasted, and lightly sweet finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nice balanced milk stout with a good finish.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Finger and half of dark tan head. Black colored body.
Smell of roasted malt, milk chocolate and toast. Hits the mark.
Smooth taste with a good bite of bitterness. Roasted malt a heavy hitter. Great balance and flavor.
Smooth texture with low carbonation.
An excellent drink.

Creamy and packs a punch. Enjoyed the low carbonation for this style of beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
This is a wonderful milk stout. Pours clean and dark, with a medium lacy head. Starts fresh and clean, with dominat chocolate notes. Finishes with a heavier mouthfeel, leaving the mouth dry and wanting more.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft. Pretty decent brew. Very smooth but not super sweet like I was expection. I’m not usually a huge fan of Widmer, but this one is very well done.

UPDATED: MAR 11, 2013 Black with a rocky, coca brown head. It has a decadent, rich mocha aroma. Flavors are of sweet malt and roasted grain and a bit of licorice. Has more of a burnt grain character than most milk/sweet stouts. Would love to try this one on nitrogen.
