This strong Belgian ale, see ABV, has some decided fruit hints, mostly citrus. Malt body that finishes sweet.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at the tap room across the street from the brewery. A hazy golden beer wtih a thin beige head. The aroma is very sweet malty with strong notes of fruit and medium notes of wheat. The flavor is also very sweet with strong ntoes of fruit as well as lighter notes of alcohol and wheat, leading to a dry and slightly bitter and sticky finish.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft at Oregon Brewers Festival, Portland, OR. Small off-white head that mostly diminished, spotty lacing, and hazy. Nose was citrus and fruity. The flavor was sweet, acidic and citrus. Fairly smooth, dry mouthfeel. Light body. I was not quite sure what to make of this brew as it was missing a lot of what is normally expected/anticipated given the style. I did not like or dislike this beer, it was as DA states "Overall it just felt confused".

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap @ Gausthaus: Hazy orange, light white head and light lacing. Nose of bright orange peel and coriander and a snappy citrusy character. Melony flavor like a fruit salad with a citrus vinaigrette. Decent, strong orange.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the OBF 2007. Pours murky gold with a yellow head. Very confused beer, not dry and crisp enough, might not have fermented out all the way. Big coriander and orange peel finish, but muddy tasting. Rather sweet malts. Overall it just felt confused.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This draft brew from the Oregon Brewers festival poured a head of frothy finely sized white colored bubbles that were and left behind a hazy typically carbonated orange brown colored body and a fair lacing. The complex aroma was malty and dirty sock. Its vinousness is well hidden. It was very hard to get used to its strange flavor. The strong flavor contained notes of malt. A decent one that I would consider buying again.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at OBF ’07: Pours a cloudy yelloworange with 1 finger white head. Wheaty and spicy perpper and lemon aroma. Flavor is nicely wheaty and pretty creamy with some tiny hints of clove and banana and lots of citrusy pepper spice. I dont usually like wits, this is the best that i have had.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Poured a cloudy white-lemon straw color. Healthy head and sweet and delectable nose with a hint of alcohol. Alcohol well hidden as this beer was very well balanced with notes of lemon and wheat. Hope to try again soon.
