Clear, amber pour with a white head. The aroma has a malty backbone along with earthy hops. It has a medium body with creamy texture and average carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet with just a touch of roasted malt.

Transfer from BA review on 8-30-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a nice deep auburn –copper color with a two finger foamy off white head. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time as big bubbles pop within the foam, leaving a tiny level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a heaviest of a roasted malt smell mixed with some caramel notes. Along with these smells are some light aromas of roasted nut, apple, and a bit of spice. Taste – The taste begins with a crisp roasted and slightly bready taste. Upfront there is some caramel sweetness and a little bit of a spice. As the taste advances it temporarily sweetens up a decent sum as flavors of apple join the caramel. Soon the caramel fades as the apple maintains it strength drying out the brew once again. While this occurs the roasted flavors grow stronger and are joined by a light toasted nut taste. With more spice flavors and a light floral taste coming to the tongue at the end, a rather crisp and lightly roasted flavor is left on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium to lighter side with the carbonation level begins just a tad above normal. Both accentuate the lighter fruit and caramel flavors all while creating a more crisp feel that is very good for the style. Overall – A rather crisp and enjoyable brew overall with a nice blend of roasted flavors, light sweeter flavors, and spice flavors which overall create an easy drinker.

Sweet bready, caramel malt bill works well however there’s not really enough noble hop presence to balance it out. Solid and inoffensive nonetheless.

Date bottom right corner reads in white "July 18 14." This was poured into a mug. The appearance was a semi - dark red color with about a one finger white foamy head that dissipated within about a minute. The lacing tries to concave a bit but spreads out to a nice semi - thick white foamy lacing. The smell has a nice rich sticky sweet caramel maltiness running through a light roasty nuttiness and then a light toffee comes across nicely. The taste was mainly malty sweet with a thorough caramel rich nutty flavoring, light breadiness coming in as well. On the palate, this one sat about a medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. There’s a nice sticky sweet caramel aftertaste that lead to a semi - dry finish. Overall, I’m not exactly sure why this labeled an Amber ale on ratebeer but if anything, this one definitely lives up to the Oktoberfest style, I could definitely do this again.

Pours an amber color with off-white head. Very malty on the nose; follows onto the palate. Finishes with a weird floral note thrown in.
