Loosen your lederhosen. Our full-bodied OKTO Festival Ale is inspired by Bavarian Oktoberfest, and we pay fitting tribute with its distinctive malt flavors, mild floral character and crisp clean finish. Prost! To the land of the Prost!

Definitely not a true oktoberfest...but then again it describes itself as an ale. Pours a nice amber with brown highlights, a bit of foam not much else. Low malt aroma with a touch of burnt coffee. A very clean and crisp overall palate with a lot of relatively heavy caramel-like sweetness. The body is quite filling. Citrus hop aromas are present with a relatively high amount of bitterness for an Oktoberfest. This would easily classify as an american amber ale, unfortunately it does not carry the same toasty malt and rich melanoidin characteristics that you would find in a traditional Oktoberfest....instead it is too heavy on the caramel malt and the ale yeast brings too crisp a palate and does not accentuate the malt enough.

12 oz bottle into English pint. Aroma is a conglomeration of wet dog, metal, grain, caramel, cinnamon. Pours a bright amber hue with a medium disappearing head that leaves a fine blanket of foam. Taste starts out malty sweet and ends bitter. Grainy flavor. Caramel corn in the aftertaste. High carbonation, long finish, medium to high body. Decent.

Bottle; poured a clear vibrant amber color with a medium off white head. Aroma of caramel, bread, sweet malt, with a bit of the Northwest hopping. Pretty flavorful for style and I like the NW influence in the finish. Clean flavors. Pleasantly surprised.

Orangish/amber pour. Small head. Toffee, caramel, bread and some grassy hops in the aroma. Flavor is malty and a tad sweet and the hops offset the sweetness nicely. Pretty ok for the style.

Clear orange color. Nice sweet malty aroma. Taste is quite flavorful and sweet. This a very solid marzen. Several elements of tea leaves that sit on the palate. Nice.

12 oz bottle. Clear deep amber with a small off white head. Aroma is sweet malt, bread and a bit of spicy hops. Flavor is fruity sweet with just a touch of bitterness. Medium body with active carbonation and a clean finish. This is pretty good, the flavor is a bit strange. One question, if youíre going to make a beer called Okto for Oktoberfest, why make it an amber ale???

Clear golden copper with a fizzy white head. Slightly fruity and caramel aroma and a taste of pear and maybe apple to the taste but a sadly watery palate.

tap at Henryís in Portland, nice medium amber pour with thin white head, sweet malt aroma with hints of roasted malt, sweet malt and biscuit up front with nice clean hop finish, residual malt on palate, body a little lighter then expected.
