Loosen your lederhosen. Our full-bodied OKTO Festival Ale is inspired by Bavarian Oktoberfest, and we pay fitting tribute with its distinctive malt flavors, mild floral character and crisp clean finish. Prost! To the land of the Prost!

Pours a dense pumpkin orange color with a modest sized froth. Aromas are so faint I canít tell whats there. Full nectar with ample residual effers. Fat caramel malts and herbal twitches frolic amoungst a mildly crisp backdrop. Some cereal flavors come out as it warms. The finish is long but itís almost tasteless. A brew of this density should have more flavor.

Clear deep copper color, the small head it started with diminished fast. Perfume like, yeasty and slightly sweet malty nose. Light to medium mouthfeel with average carbonation. Slightly sweet flavor, finishes with small amount of hop bitterness.

(Bottle) Pours a decent amber color with a white head. Caramel aroma and sweet taste. Pretty good mouthfeel, better than I expected. Strong carbonation. Not bad...

Aroma seems a little off. Flavor is creamy, sugary and a little tainted. On a side note, I hate how this site makes you sign in again if you go away for like five minutes.

For the "lighter" styles, Oktoberfest may be my new favorite. Strong amber, smells like harvest, and itís rich on the malts. This went down quite fast.

Playing: Van Der Graaf Generator, Pawn Hearts

9-23-07. Hazy amber brown with great foamy head. Slightly medicinal aroma, but mostly malty and calm and not overdone. A bit of a doughy taste - slightly bland. Palate is very carbonated and slightly watery. I can drink this and it isnít awful but it isnít anything special.

Cloudy copper pour with a nice and big off white head. Smell is somewhat light, but nicely of caramel and toffee scented malt. Somewhat light on the palate, yet not watery. Nice body, nice biscuity, toffee malty flavor. Nice, easy drinking , yet nicely flavored beer. More Oktoberfest like than amber, in my opinion, but nice either way.

This beer tastes like I put some honey, coke, riesling and a caramello into a bottle. Its good, I like it, but I wonít be sad if I donít see it on the shelves the next I go to get some beer, some other brewery will make something exactly like it.

I guess this being an amber ale explains why it did not taste at all like an marzen. Go figure. Aroma was a nice grapefruit hoppiness with some toasty caramel malt backing. Pours copper with a small beige head. Flavor is more of the toasty caramel malt notes with some buttery notes and a grapefruity citrus finish. Definitley more hoppy than I expected a Fest beer to be. If it is an amber, I enjoyed it a ton more than the Drop Top.
