Loosen your lederhosen. Our full-bodied OKTO Festival Ale is inspired by Bavarian Oktoberfest, and we pay fitting tribute with its distinctive malt flavors, mild floral character and crisp clean finish. Prost! To the land of the Prost!

9-23-07. Hazy amber brown with great foamy head. Slightly medicinal aroma, but mostly malty and calm and not overdone. A bit of a doughy taste - slightly bland. Palate is very carbonated and slightly watery. I can drink this and it isnít awful but it isnít anything special.

Cloudy copper pour with a nice and big off white head. Smell is somewhat light, but nicely of caramel and toffee scented malt. Somewhat light on the palate, yet not watery. Nice body, nice biscuity, toffee malty flavor. Nice, easy drinking , yet nicely flavored beer. More Oktoberfest like than amber, in my opinion, but nice either way.

This beer tastes like I put some honey, coke, riesling and a caramello into a bottle. Its good, I like it, but I wonít be sad if I donít see it on the shelves the next I go to get some beer, some other brewery will make something exactly like it.

I guess this being an amber ale explains why it did not taste at all like an marzen. Go figure. Aroma was a nice grapefruit hoppiness with some toasty caramel malt backing. Pours copper with a small beige head. Flavor is more of the toasty caramel malt notes with some buttery notes and a grapefruity citrus finish. Definitley more hoppy than I expected a Fest beer to be. If it is an amber, I enjoyed it a ton more than the Drop Top.

Bottle: Pours a true amber color with a small beige head and light lacing. Nose of floral hops, caramel, and malts. Tastes earthy and malty, but looses the hop presence from the aroma. Sort of a sweet then sour finish.

Amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is caramel, light banana esters, pretty nice aroma. Taste is a light matltiness, some nuttiness. Doesnít have much depth to it but itís much better then I expected.

8/31/07 On draught at Newport Bay in Tukwila. Aroma is malty and simple with slight sweetness, caramel and light hop flora. Appearance is amber with a low off-white head. Flavor is munich malty sweet/sour forward with medium/high bittering balance. Mouthfeel is slightly grainy with med/high carb tex. Overall, easy drinking and not too rich to have more than one.

Bottle... Poured a ruby-orange tone with a thin white head. Soft, floral and malt aroma. Sweet, candy or sugary malt flavors with touches of nuts and hops that have a lingering malt aftertaste. I donít know what it is with ambers, but I really canít get into the style. I see so many breweries with ambers in their selections but there are few and far between that I actually enjoy a lot.

Poured a deep brown-orange color with a bustling white head. Sweet caramel nose and taste. Fruity, caramel, toffee notes. Finished a little weak. Bitter chewy finish. Nice brew.
