Loosen your lederhosen. Our full-bodied OKTO Festival Ale is inspired by Bavarian Oktoberfest, and we pay fitting tribute with its distinctive malt flavors, mild floral character and crisp clean finish. Prost! To the land of the Prost!

Bottle Pours a dark slightly hazy amber/brown with only a minimal off-white head that lingers nicely. Lacing is sparse and chunky. Aroma mostly of dark malts, and caramel. Flavor is malt and nuts but kind of thin. Just has that mass-produced taste. Carbonation is quite soft. Easy on the hops and the finish is lacking bitterness but a woody earthen taste is there.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy copper color wtih a medium frothy white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is sweet fruit with raisin and light hops. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a sweet roasted malt with caramel and a spicy finish. A good amber ale from Widmer.

Maple malty aroma. Dark orange in color, with more than typical carbonation for an ale. Some resiny hop sweetness and leafiness. Flavor continues sweet malt backdrop and mild hop accents. Some alcohol burn and ’’choke’’ present but I think it adds to the character rather than detracts. Beer is filling and warming.

Clear, toffee color pour with small light caramel head. No lacing and head dissipated quickly. Nice malty aroma with slight hops undertone. Warm malty palate with just the slightest hops bitterness as I finished glass. Enjoyed it thoroughly for a seasonal beer.

12oz bottle. Rich amber color with a lasting head. Cinnamon, plastic, caramel, and pine in the aroma. Sweet toffee and caramel, with a sprucy finish. Medium, syrupy body. I want a real oktoberfest...

Bottle. Pours a clear dark amber with one finger light tan head and ok lacing. Nose is sweet malt and yeast. Taste is sweet malt, toffee and some fruitiness in the finish with a very minor hop taste. Medium mouth feel. Meh, pretty boring.

(Draft @ Gingerman, HOU): Pours an amber brown, body somewhat opaque. Big creamy light tan head. Good lacing. Grape juice aroma, some maltiness. Somewhat malty taste, almost sour aftertaste. Some grapey foretaste. Some balance, but more on the malty side. Pretty good session beer.

Slightly hoppy version of the ever-popular Oktoberfest! This one was very crisp and pretty malty. I wouldn’t say it was thin, but it was thinner than most of the genre. Light and carmelly.

12 oz. bottle served in shaker- poured transparent dull copper with amber undertones, low carbonation, nice one finger bubbly off peach head formed and laced to a degree. Aroma of carmel, wheat, and malt. Hits the mouth with a low-medium body, malt is a little lackluster- tastes like an old malt was used, touch of cream and sweetness in the middle, finish is crisp with a few noticeable hop notes. It gets the job done for something to drink, but I can think of many better ambers and oktoberfest beers that are in the same price point and are much better in quality.

I admit my ignorance of German styles. To me a full amber with a sweet yeast.
