Loosen your lederhosen. Our full-bodied OKTO Festival Ale is inspired by Bavarian Oktoberfest, and we pay fitting tribute with its distinctive malt flavors, mild floral character and crisp clean finish. Prost! To the land of the Prost!

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a medium orange/amber, with a large white head that quickly fades. fair lacing. Nose is virtually nonexistent. Taste is flat, not much flavor there. Just tasted hop finish. Pretty mediocre beer for Widmer Bros. Too bad-I was expecting better.

Bottle from a mix pack. Smells more like a lager than an ale, as I get a lot of corn and grains in there like a marzen. Taste is moderately crispe and has some subtle toasting to it. Meh.

Drank from a twelve ounce bottle purchased at Wegmans. Nice floral notes. Very bready taste. Not impressed at all by this Oktoberfest brew.

Hazy dark amber color. The aroma is a bit fruity, the flavor is semi-sweet, with poor malt, a bit stale, and low bitterness.
Not interesting.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has bread and grains with a bit of sweetness from a biscuit note. Flavor has a strong earthy grain and bread note with a hint of underlying sweetness.

Clear, amber pour with a white head. The aroma has a malty backbone along with earthy hops. It has a medium body with creamy texture and average carbonation. The taste is mildly sweet with just a touch of roasted malt.

Transfer from BA review on 8-30-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a nice deep auburn –copper color with a two finger foamy off white head. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time as big bubbles pop within the foam, leaving a tiny level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a heaviest of a roasted malt smell mixed with some caramel notes. Along with these smells are some light aromas of roasted nut, apple, and a bit of spice. Taste – The taste begins with a crisp roasted and slightly bready taste. Upfront there is some caramel sweetness and a little bit of a spice. As the taste advances it temporarily sweetens up a decent sum as flavors of apple join the caramel. Soon the caramel fades as the apple maintains it strength drying out the brew once again. While this occurs the roasted flavors grow stronger and are joined by a light toasted nut taste. With more spice flavors and a light floral taste coming to the tongue at the end, a rather crisp and lightly roasted flavor is left on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium to lighter side with the carbonation level begins just a tad above normal. Both accentuate the lighter fruit and caramel flavors all while creating a more crisp feel that is very good for the style. Overall – A rather crisp and enjoyable brew overall with a nice blend of roasted flavors, light sweeter flavors, and spice flavors which overall create an easy drinker.
