2.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
Poured into a tulip glass. A copper color with a finger of white head that shortly broken down with some good lacing.
Smells of honeysuckle, grapefruit and mandarin.
It tastes like lemon, hops and a hint of soap. I have tried three different bottles in three different glasses and they all taste like this. Maybe it is the style, but the soap taste is a bit off-putting.
Moderate carbonation and medium bodied.
I cannot get over the taste.... but it smells so good.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
1" head with nice lacing, brew is amber but when held to a light it glows like a stop light.
Aroma is toasty/biscuit malts with slight floral hops and only subtle yeasty fruitiness... fairly clean really.
Toasty malts up front move into medicinal/spicy hops with a slightly fruity finish.. dry minerally finish.. body is medium with smooth but above average carbonation... way cleaner than most American Ambers.
Overall, if I had to pick a style for this, I would call it a good attempt at an Altbier over an American Amber... that said, I am going to review it on its merits, but NOT as an American Amber.

On tap. Served an amber color with a head that fades to bits of lacing. Aroma of malt sweetness, bit of caramel and grain. Taste of malt sweetness and caramel with a touch of grain and citrus. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Moderate body, smooth but a bit short on malt character.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, slightly toasty nose with notes of dried apricots, orange, toffee, nuts and rye bread. Malty taste with toffee, dried apricots, caramel, candy sugar, orange, rye bread and a balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced with a chewy malt character. Quite nice.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
I get a heavy grainy aroma followed by a sweet malt in this hazy deep orange brew with almost no head. This brew has that german aroma maybe caused by the yeast. Very earthy amd sweet almost like honey sweet in this medium bodied brew. For an october fest not too bad. Worth a try.
