Loosen your lederhosen. Our full-bodied OKTO Festival Ale is inspired by Bavarian Oktoberfest, and we pay fitting tribute with its distinctive malt flavors, mild floral character and crisp clean finish. Prost! To the land of the Prost!

Very good oktoberfest. Sweet, fruity aroma. Nice golden color, but would have liked it to be a bit more redish. Sweet, yeasty taste. Nice clean palate. Overall good, but not outstanding.

Transfer from BA review on 8-30-13- Poured from bottle into a pint glass Appearance – The beer pours a nice deep auburn –copper color with a two finger foamy off white head. The head has a great level of retention, slowly fading over time as big bubbles pop within the foam, leaving a tiny level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is heaviest of a heaviest of a roasted malt smell mixed with some caramel notes. Along with these smells are some light aromas of roasted nut, apple, and a bit of spice. Taste – The taste begins with a crisp roasted and slightly bready taste. Upfront there is some caramel sweetness and a little bit of a spice. As the taste advances it temporarily sweetens up a decent sum as flavors of apple join the caramel. Soon the caramel fades as the apple maintains it strength drying out the brew once again. While this occurs the roasted flavors grow stronger and are joined by a light toasted nut taste. With more spice flavors and a light floral taste coming to the tongue at the end, a rather crisp and lightly roasted flavor is left on the tongue. Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium to lighter side with the carbonation level begins just a tad above normal. Both accentuate the lighter fruit and caramel flavors all while creating a more crisp feel that is very good for the style. Overall – A rather crisp and enjoyable brew overall with a nice blend of roasted flavors, light sweeter flavors, and spice flavors which overall create an easy drinker.

This bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a head of foamy white colored bubbles that were and left behind a typically carbonated transparent golden brown orange colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was candy. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a medium caramel hop aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of velvety smoothness sweet candy caramel and hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Mild and somewhat watery. A very drinkable Okto and just the type to be distributed by Budweiser. Drinkable and sort of a Marzen-lite.

Rich, sweet and quite vibrant aroma, with a variety of bright dark fruits and juicy hops in the nose. Dark orange color, with a light, but immense froth. Flavor is suprisingly hop accented, not exactly what you would expect from a so called "oktoberfest." I guess I was expecting a marzen, but I received a clean and nicely balanced beer, with a rich flavor. Toffee, hazelnut and caramel flavors, with a nice hop kick, especially on the finish, with hints of resins and grapefruit.

UPDATED: MAR 11, 2007 I thought this was very nice amber ale - similiar to the Drop-Top Amber, but more malt and spice and no rancid smell of old fruit flavor. Very rich and malty. Complex smokey, carmel malt, and distinct hop presence.

Has some light malt and some nice caramel scents. Taste is similar to the scent, aftertaste is a little bland and some copper. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance: pours a sudsy 2” cream colored head that recedes slowly with moderate lacing. Color is a clear amber with moderate carbonation streaming. Aroma: rich yeast bread malts, caramel, and some floral hop. Mouthfeel: light bodied, crisp, with a mostly dry finish. Flavor: caramel and toffee are dominate, with a bit of nuttiness as well. Bread dough and enough hop bite for some balance. Overall: well done and appropriate to the style.

Pours a darker shade of amber. Aroma is dry and bready with hints of what taste like saaz hops. Flavor is more sturdy than most oktoberfest. A bit more flavor overall. Definitely solid.
