Loosen your lederhosen. Our full-bodied OKTO Festival Ale is inspired by Bavarian Oktoberfest, and we pay fitting tribute with its distinctive malt flavors, mild floral character and crisp clean finish. Prost! To the land of the Prost!

Pours a beautiful autumn rust orange. Head was minimal, but fine bubbles and persistent. Aroma is light but malty in character. Flavor is malty sweet with a spicy edge. Body is a little on the heavy side, with a slick feel to it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Appearance: pours a sudsy 2” cream colored head that recedes slowly with moderate lacing. Color is a clear amber with moderate carbonation streaming. Aroma: rich yeast bread malts, caramel, and some floral hop. Mouthfeel: light bodied, crisp, with a mostly dry finish. Flavor: caramel and toffee are dominate, with a bit of nuttiness as well. Bread dough and enough hop bite for some balance. Overall: well done and appropriate to the style.

Pours a darker shade of amber. Aroma is dry and bready with hints of what taste like saaz hops. Flavor is more sturdy than most oktoberfest. A bit more flavor overall. Definitely solid.

Picked up a bottle of this and was mildly impressed. This had a pretty brazen maltiness that I was not expecting. This was a pretty big tasting beer. Some nice hoppiness and a rich well balanced malt character, full of nutty caramel flavors and some fruit flavors as well. Decent

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2007 Bottled. Cloudy dark amber. Fruity and nutty. Sweetish with pleasant hay-like hops. Medium bodied with lovely chewy malt profile. More English in style than American. Fairly low bitterness.

Amber with a thin off white head. Aroma is caramel, light banana esters, pretty nice aroma. Taste is a light matltiness, some nuttiness. Doesn’t have much depth to it but it’s much better then I expected.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy copper color wtih a medium frothy white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is sweet fruit with raisin and light hops. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a sweet roasted malt with caramel and a spicy finish. A good amber ale from Widmer.

Above average Octoberfest beer. Would definitely consider this for a staple(got this in a make your own six) next to Great Lakes or Sam Adams next year. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
