Loosen your lederhosen. Our full-bodied OKTO Festival Ale is inspired by Bavarian Oktoberfest, and we pay fitting tribute with its distinctive malt flavors, mild floral character and crisp clean finish. Prost! To the land of the Prost!

What the hell is this? This is nothing like a fest beer, or anything oktoberfest at all. Did they invent this? It’s just a roasty malty amber. I don’t think this has anything to do with late September festivals. It’s sort of like if you’re expecting to sip milk and you drink orange juice, I thought it was bad only because it was nothing like an oktoberfest. Not a bad beer itself but what the heck?

Poured from bottle, pours a clear amber copper with an off white head, aroma has a hint of caramel and sweetness and the flavor is pretty much the same, malt and caramel, meh.

1" head with nice lacing, brew is amber but when held to a light it glows like a stop light. Aroma is toasty/biscuit malts with slight floral hops and only subtle yeasty fruitiness... fairly clean really. Toasty malts up front move into medicinal/spicy hops with a slightly fruity finish.. dry minerally finish.. body is medium with smooth but above average carbonation... way cleaner than most American Ambers. Overall, if I had to pick a style for this, I would call it a good attempt at an Altbier over an American Amber... that said, I am going to review it on its merits, but NOT as an American Amber.

On tap. Served an amber color with a head that fades to bits of lacing. Aroma of malt sweetness, bit of caramel and grain. Taste of malt sweetness and caramel with a touch of grain and citrus. Mild bitterness and a clean finish. Moderate body, smooth but a bit short on malt character.

(Bottle) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, slightly toasty nose with notes of dried apricots, orange, toffee, nuts and rye bread. Malty taste with toffee, dried apricots, caramel, candy sugar, orange, rye bread and a balanced spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced with a chewy malt character. Quite nice.

Pours amber with a bit of sudsy off-white foam. Aroma is vegetal (cooked veggies), cereal malt, a bit floral, and muted citrus. Taste is caramel/toffee, cooked veggie, cereal malt, herbal, and a bit of orange hard candy. Light-med body. Meh.
