Bottle, thanks Eddan. A bit hazy reddish/orange with a medium head. Sweet with toffee, malt, light bread and some hints of orange in the finish. Not bad but a bit one-dimensional.

@ Eddan 15-1-10: ganska söt maltig doft. Smaken är också söt med tydlig kola, bränd knäck, lite bröd och med en liten gnutta apelsin i eftersmaken. Nja inte riktigt någon favorit. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone ---- Soberness not garanteed!

650ml brown bottle. ’12 vintage. Orange colour, light haze. Small thin, white cap and standard lacing. Caramel and toffee notes in the nose, light hops. Taste has sweet caramel and toffee malts, nut, brown sugar. Late hop bitterness and a little alcohol. Medium to full body. Pretty mild overall, but enjoyable, I would be happy to have this again.

Old Embalmer ’12. An interesting Barleywine. Pours a light coppery gold with a thin off white head. The aroma is well hopped with light floral and spicy hop notes with a rich and malty toffee and nutty profile. Well balanced profile with light sweetness and a mild resinous and citrus hop. Bitter and warm on the finish with cloaked alcohol. A nice big brew.

This rating is for the Old Embalmer ’12. Poured from a 650 ml bottle. Clear amber color with good amount of white head. Has the basic aromas of a barley wine but a little toned down. It’s not as heavy as the other barley wines, it’s a lot lighter. It has a little more bitterness since it doesn’t have the weight in its body to mask the alcohol content. I wonder if it would taste better if it was aged a little more

Poured from 1pint 6fl oz bottle [Old Embalmer ’12 - Jul 18/2012]. Clear amber with off-white-to-beige head. Light evergreen piney hops, subdued toffee and malt characteristics round out in the background. A little light and needs some more malt. Tastes almost a little too young like a banana that is a little too green (metaphorically, not literally).

650ml bottle pours a lighter amber color with a finger of white head that leaves only a few spots of lacing behind. Aroma is dark fruits and caramel with some toasted grain notes and hops. Taste is a citrus hop bitterness with a dark fruity and grainy caramel malty sweetness. Medium to full bodied with generous carbonation for the style. A pretty well done barley wine, being aged for 2 years now probably helps smooth the rough edges I find on a lot of fresher barley wines. Good stuff!

I het a sweet malty cranberry aroma from this hazy reddish brown brew with an off white head. The taste is very sweet with almost a brown sugary flavor and the of alcohol at the end. Suprisingly no burn with this 10.2. Very smooth. The after taste is fruity. This is a full bodied brew with good carb and worth a buy. For a barley wine it is exactly what i would expect. Pretty delicious

This one is a malt bomb with a slight appearance of hops at the end. Alcohol is well hidden. Very Drinkable for the ABV. I was just expecting more, bigger, bolder - it was kind of bland. The bottle was a year old; unlike most barleywines I have had, I was wishing for a fresher bottle. Won't be searching this one out again. There's just too many good barleywines out there. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 65 cl. Vintage 2013, "Featuring X-431 Hops" - whatever that is. Pours amber with a slight haze and an off-white head. Oxidized biscuity malts in the nose and a honeyish touch. Rich body with lots of crystal malts but enough of hops for balance and a warming alcohol finish. Fairly solid US-style Barley Wine.
