Pours a dark copper burnt orange with an off white lasting head. The aroma is thick barley with a light fruit and hint of hops. The flavor is rich grainy barley with a moderately sweet grainy sugar. There is a bit of earthy bitter but the hop flavor is an afterthought with a light citrus pine. Moderate carbonation fills the beer with a nice sweetening tang. Solid finish with a slight attempt of hop balance with a sweet barley lasting finish. Nice brew overall.

On tap at Cedar Creek Pub, Colorado. Pours amber. Very light aroma of straw hops, melon, malt. Modest carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of a wonderful balance of tasty malts and hops, with hidden alcohol but big body. Extremely smooth drinking like a bomb-ass session beer!!

2013 vintage. Thin off-white head of fine bubbles with light carbonation. Sweet malts in the aroma with some caramel, buttescotch, a hint of orange and some vegetal aromas. Color is a dark copper. Body is a bit thin and watery with some sweet tarts, candi sugar, light caramel, toasted malts and some more butterscotch. Sort of a hot brew too with a big warming and burn on the gums. Finishes sweet and hot but quite tasty. A prett ygood barleywine but would probably be better with a few months unders its belt.

651ml 2013 yellow wax thanks to LtDan! Clear orange pour. Weak foam. Incredible dried apricot nose. Taste is sweet but juicy, big kumquat, spicy chili powder, pulpy mangosteen. Interesting, fruity, very good! Tropical, pithy.

English style! Hazy darker amber color, moderate head, good lace/retention. Malt dominated aroma - syrupy thick caramel, some toffee, lightly floral hops. Full bodied, sweet, pretty nice.

Draft at Prohibition. Pours a hazy amber with thin off-white head and soapy lace. Nose of grapefruit, pineapple, caramel, candy, toffee. Medium body. Pretty fresh hop flavors. Not too hot. I enjoyed this.

Svag doft.

22 ounce bottle into snifter; 2012 vintage, bottled 7/19/2012. Pours lightly hazy orange copper color with a 1 finger fairly dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with some light streaming carbonation. Aromas of orange zest, lemon zest, tangerine, pineapple, caramel, toast, brown sugar, biscuit, toffee, floral, grass, light pine, and floral earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of hop and malt notes; with good strength. Taste of orange zest, lemon zest, tangerine, pineapple, caramel, toast, toffee, brown sugar, biscuit, floral, light pine, and floral/toasted earthiness. Slight earthy pine bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, pineapple, caramel, toast, toffee, brown sugar, biscuit, floral, light pine, and floral/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Damn nice complexity of hop and malt flavors; with a great hop/malt flavor balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a moderately creamy and fairly slick mouthfeel that is good. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent barleywine style. All around great balance and complexity of hop and malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Dark amber color with a mostly white head. The bitter hops and the sweetness in this beer battle to a muddled mess.

Hazy deep amber beer, good off white head. Palate starts smooth but has a minerally crisp edge. Nice creamy malt base, rich but not heavy. Caramel and a trace of toffee. Good balance of orange pine hops. Mild aniseed. Creamy finish with a mellow bitter pine linger. Nice balance.
