2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle, coompliments of Joe with some friends. Pours a light orange red shade with white small head and barely any lacing. Notes of pine, syrupy honey, cherry, sugar, citrus hops, vanilla, and burnt toast. Light bodied for a barleywine. Nothing too memorable from this beer. Just ok.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
9/21/12. On tap at Kickback’s. Clear red amber pour with a nice fluffy khaki head that sticks and laces plenty. Sweet dark fruit aroma with touches of alcohol, plenty of sugars, and citrusy hops. Dark fruits, must, and sugars in the flavor with hoppy bitterness and some citrus. Surprisingly not terrible.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz bottle - pours tawny red with medium-full tan-white head, very creamy, very lasting, very pretty lacing. Very. I get malts, dates, and some brighter berry fruits on the nose mixed in with citrus and pine. Tastes of berry, plums, grain, with a pleasing hoppy finish. Leaves you wanting more, no burn at 10+. Medium to full bodied, nicely done.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tallahassee, Fl - Fermentation Lounge - on tap. Dark orange pour, off-white head, nice coat of lacing. Faint spruce aroma, hint of mixed nuts. Flavor is somewhat boozy, but not distractedly so, if I had to pin it down - peaches soaked in brandy. Hints of dates, some licorice notes and a finish reminiscent of fresh bubble gum. Thick, full mouthfeel.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle: Deep amber, copper hued, large frothy sandy head, fairly nice lacing. Somewhat of a green hoppy nose, malty, and alcohol. Seems slightly green. Very green up front, hoppy but not biting, malty, but not heavy. Seems like a light example, very young, without much complexity. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. Somewhat of a bright and young Barley Wine, hoppy but not too bitter, malty but not too heavy, with a citrus peel and pith background. Body and mouthfeel are moderate. Nothing real special about this one other than it hides the 10.2% ABV really well. I was thinking big English like Barley Wine, but what I got was pretty damn average. Piss!!!!
