Bottle: Courtesy of JCW. Aroma of sweet citrus, toffee, light honey, and slight hints of banana bread. Pours a transparent amber with a small white ring for a head. Caramel and toffee up front. Slight hints of banana bread, honey, and candi sugar. A light bitterness is added in the finish. Sticky and syruppy mouthfeel.

Courtesy of JCW. Transparent maber with minimal off white head, fades to a ring of film rather quickly. Great lacing. Sweet caramel malt up front with roasted grains and alcohol in the nose. Flavor is very sweet. All caramel and toffee up front, fades to a bready/cardboard middle with a huge alcohol kick in thw finish. Sticky-oily mouthfeel. Very nice brew would be alot better if the alcohol wasn’t so prominent. Big thanks to John for the rarity!!

Brown in color clear with a thin head. Tons of malt and raisin malt aroma. Big barrel aging flavors and thick sweet malts. This was a tasty beer. Warms up well and was great for the cold day. Dried fruit flavors and finish.

9/21/12. On tap at Kickback’s. Clear red amber pour with a nice fluffy khaki head that sticks and laces plenty. Sweet dark fruit aroma with touches of alcohol, plenty of sugars, and citrusy hops. Dark fruits, must, and sugars in the flavor with hoppy bitterness and some citrus. Surprisingly not terrible.

22oz bottle in a snifter. Pours copper/ruby with a lacy, light tan head. Aroma of a lot of citrusy hops, some caramel and toffee, and alcohol. Flavor the same, with not enough malts to cover up the alcohol. Average texture. The hoppiness is great, but the lack of malts to balance that and the alcohol takes away from this beer.

At Big Beers, Belgians, & Barleywines Fest 2013. Clear orange copper with a sticky aroma of caramalts and grapefruit pulp...by aroma alone I would have guessed this to be a DIPA. Flavor is smooth and sweet with toffee and caramel malts dominating, along with some sticky grapefruit and piney hops. Strong bitterness tempered by strong sweetness.

22 oz bottle shared by Tmoney99 in October 2012. Pours a clear reddish amber color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have sweet caramel, ripe fruits, a strange bubble gum note, some resiny hops, earthy, wood, pretty decent, alcohol is warming.

2012 bomber. Lightly sweet and floral aroma with a fleury active head. Dark amber color. Kinda bitter, kinda hoppy, medium sweet, medium boozy, and lightly bitter. Very smooth after aging for 1.75 years. Flavors of caramel, orange, bitter spicing, alcohol, and hops.
