COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An extremely rich and complex beer. The addition of raspberries during the fermentation process results in an almost purplish opaque color with a beautiful brown head. Warm chocolate and roasty notes compliment the hop bitterness.

My two favorite flavors in beer: Imperial Stout and Raspberries. Now to see if it lives up to such a promise. Strong, smoky aroma has a decided overtone of raspberries. ME LUVZ RAZBURYS! :D It pours an opaque, scrumptious sable with a thick and rather persistent light tan head that leaves some generous lacing. Flavor is - uh, let me savor this for a while, oh, it is just so dee-lish! A sweet but not cloying raspberry core with smoky, malty, coffee, semi-sweet chocolate and licorice notes. I get a touch of cherry as well. So lip-smackingly delicious, itís to die for! Smooth, full-bodied texture has a good amount of fizz. Widmer, yíall kicked a-- once again! That does it - Iím moving to Portland. :D

Pours a luscious clear dark amber with a thick, fine-bubbled, light golden-tan head that sticks around for a while. Rich aroma is malty and rather hoppy with an evergreen note. Strongly hoppy flavor has a decided bitter evergreen undertone and hints of malt and honey. Smooth texture has above-average body and quite a strong tingle, leaving behind a nice hoppy and fizzy finish.

Bottle. Pours an extremely dark and very thick brown color with a fairly small head. Roasting and raspberry flavors are present throughout the nose. Nice and flavorful, with the roasting and fruit flavors in there. Great beer.

Smokey, coffee-like, subtle raspberry, very filling and delicious. Dark and deep. Not bad, bro.

From 22oz bottle to shaker. Pours absolutely black with beige head. Smells like chocolate, raspberries, and oat. Nice thick imperial taste, however sweet berry-chocolate aftertaste, never expect any imperial beers to have any sweet properties. phenomenal beer

The Raspberry aroma is immediate, smooth, pleasant, and the taste doesn't disappoint. Chocolate, roasty warmth, balanced nicely with cool raspberry and just the right amount of hoppy bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JUN 13, 2012 One of the better Imperial Stouts I have had in many years honestly. A nice contender for the throne, but I donít think it can top Old Rasputin.

On tap at north river tavern. Dark opaque color. Mahogany brown with red highlights and frothy head. Molasses raspberry liquor alcohol aroma. Roasted malty and alcohol flavor along with raspberry cordial and molasses flow. Strong but smooth sweet and alcoholic. Medium body. I liked this to sip on occasionally.
