COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our brewers added fresh whole vanilla beans to a few select barrels of our Barrel-Aged Brrrbon í13, an imperial version of our Brrr Seasonal Ale aged in Kentucky Bourbon barrels, for this limited edition brew. The addition of vanilla beans heightens the vanilla character imparted by the barrels, and adds a delicious layer of complexity to the beerís oak and caramel character, making for a smooth warmer perfect for the season.

MALTS: Pale, Caramel, Carapils, Dark Chocolate
HOPS: Alchemy, Simcoe, Cascade

Poured from a 22 ounce bomber. The aroma is filled with bourbon, burnt sugar, fruity alcohol, toffee. The flavor is sweet vanilla, caramelized sugar, oak. The high ABV is warming. Finishes dry.

Draft. Rich amber beer with a dark cream head. Caramel and light bourbon aroma. Bourbon and vanilla flavor. Medium bodied. Vanilla and light oak linger with bourbon and rich malt.

Taster at Jungle Jimís Barrel-Aged Beer Bash 2015. Mildly hazy orange amber color. Thin off-white kind of bubbly head, few bits of lace. Bigger citrusy hop up front in the nose, thatís kind of surprising. West-coast DIPA level of citrusy hop, kind of piney and spicy, wasnít expecting that at all. Just a touch of vanilla on the backend, more noticeable as it warms. Bigger bitterness, mild to moderate sweet taste, kind of dry. Bigger body. Kind of soft tingly sort of crisp lighter carbonation, light slick mouthfeel but drying in the finish. Interesting stuff. Surprisingly hoppy, especially for a 2013 vintage (indicated). Reminds me of some baíd DIPAs Iíve tried. Would have probably gotten better if I gave it time to warm.

Keg at the taproom in PDX, 08/11/14. Murky amber with a moderate beige covering. Nose is bourbon forward, coconut, rich dark fruits, toffee. Taste comprises more coconut, BA effect, bourbonic licks, toffee, spice, light booze, dates, dark fruits. Medium + body, fine carbonation, lightly warming alcohol in the close. Decent BA American Strong.

"Iím not sure the vanilla imparted by the barrels NEEDED to be heightened. Kinda like the vanilla BCS in my mind. Not bad, just not neccesary. Tasty, but if anything takes away a tad of complexity from the non-vanilla version(s)."

Poured at a bar when I saw this randomly. Pours a nice deep nut brown. Leaves a creamy of white thick head which didnít fade hardly and left a nice heavy lacing. Aroma is of vanilla and light resin with notes of roasty nuts and malt. Taste is a really nice lightly sweet but roasty caramel and vanilla with a sturdy malt flavor. The back reaches you witha surprisingly balanced slight floral hop flavor with just the right amount of bitterness. A definite gem to find on draft and very enjoyable.

Bomber ONLY from Whole Foods Plymouth Meeting circa 4Q 2013 and roughly $10.00. Pours hazy dark brown with balanced vanilla, roast dark malts, cacao, and a balanced finish. This was better than the ginger, and a beer I wish I had more of.
