COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hidden in the beautiful dark amber color are aromas of vanilla and caramel that compliment perfectly the presence of bourbon. Soft oak flavors transition into a sweet yet slightly dry finish. After aging the ale for four months, the malt and hop complexity of Brrr has melded harmoniously with the bourbon barrels and become a truly one of a kind beer.

Bomber. Hazy red-brown pour with a short white head leaving scattered lace. Nose is alcohol and sweet malt. Bourbon is evident from start to finish, but itís never overpowering (I donít care for bourbon) and really adds to this special brew. Licorice, dates, vanilla, caramel populate this heavy body. Light carbonation, the hops add a spice and resin near the finish. There is a touch of oaky umami in the middle, but itís only a hint. long after the finish you get a stomach warmth just as you do with liquor. Drink cool at most. More drinkable than AB/DB or any of their oaked variants, would need to compare directly to LB to pick a winner.

2010 vintage. I had bought this for my brother in law at a package store across from the hospital as my sis was about to have twins. We opened on Xmas Eve a couple weeks later. I had no idea that it was 2010 - ruh roh. Taste was super mellow bourbon, slight oxidation but not detracting. Light fruits, vanilla, little cookie, hint of leather, smooth toffee. Everything was just dialed down and super smooth in this 4 year old ed.

UPDATED: DEC 27, 2014 Brrrbon í11. Bourbon barrel aging compliments this beer perfectly. Pours out a hazy dark amber with minimal head, little lacing. Aroma of mostly of bourbon right off the bat, some peat, and dark maltiness. Taste brings in more of the wood barrels and bourbon flavors, vanilla, caramel, some Scotch ale malts. Lingering vanilla, bourbon taste. Very gentle, slow warmth. Perfect sipper for a lazy afternoon.

It pours dark amber bordering on brown with a moderate tan head. Aromas of caramel and bourbon and the most dominant. The is a bit of oak, with a touch of vanilla. Caramel and bourbon flavors leave the first impression. There are roasted flavors with a bitter twinge of hops that is well blended.

650ml bottle pours amber in color with a finger of white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is caramel and vanilla with some bourbon and hints of citrus. Taste is a caramel malty sweetness with vanilla and a citrus hop bitterness with bourbon present throughout. Medium bodied with decent carbonation providing a nice mouth feel. Overall, quite impressive and worth checking out.

0,65l Bottle. Clear, amber brown color. small lacing head. Aroma is truly a bourbon cask, vanilla oak wood and dark chocolate, sharp ethanolic. Reminds of a bourbon cask aged scottish whisky. Dry, light sour with a bitter finish, the 9.4 ABV are present. Aftertaste has some more bourbon barrel, with dominant simcoe and cascade hops. Medium to thick body, with an average carbonation.
