22oz bomber. Pours with medium head. Sweet aroma. Slightly alcoholic with molasses background. Tastes like black run and English brown ale. Some diacetyl present but acceptable for the style. Finishes with alcohol warmth and maltiness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bottle in an English pint. Pours brown with a fluffy, cream-colored head. Aroma of caramel and a little chocolate from the malts, rum, molasses, and floral hops. Flavor a nice blend of everything. Average texture. A pretty good beer.

I smell chocolate and a hint of something sweet. Smells pretty light bodied. A hazy brown color with little offwhite head. Very sweet medium bodied good carbonation. I feel e alcohol and i get a little sweetness from the licorice i think. Im not impressed with this ale but its not a horrible. Its a bit sweet for me for a brown but worth a try

You can really taste the molasses and rum on the finish despite the front being a smooth brown ale flavor. Good beer but not amazing

A thin deep reddish amber colored beer. The head is an off white ring. The aroma... all mediciny. The flavor all licorice or "anise" for you herbal snobs. Fail as usual. Stick to summit hops and the pre-AB in bev recipes except for the horrible "hefeweizen".

Almost a chocolate brownie like scent, bit of coffee. Similar taste with a nice chocolate/booze blend.
