Brown pour with a tan head. The aroma has some strong toffee, caramel and nut notes. The flavor is a bit different. I get some strong caramel, light smoke, maple, brown sugar and alcohol. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Clear dark brown pour with a minimal tan head. Aroma of caramel, brown sugar and a bit of alcohol. The flavor is sweet, no hop flavors, all caramel and brown sugar that was hinted to in the aroma. I was expecting more perhaps, but no flaws, no excitement either.

On tap at Widmer, pours a hazy amber with a small beige head. Aroma reveals rum barrels upfront, with notes of dried dark fruit (raisins) and caramel. Flavour brings out a rum bomb, with very far back secondary notes of raisins and other dried fruit. Boozy, but well-balanced and drinkable in small amounts. Decent beer.

On tapas Dexter's pub. Pours brownish with thin white head. Aroma of vanilla, rum, and molasses. Taste is mostly barrel. Perhaps overpowered by the barrels. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber from Blue Dog. Pours hazy ruby through direct light and with translucent dark brown edges through indirect light, with a finger of frothy off-white head. Nose is malt, molasses, hops, mild fusels, brown sugar, and some earthy butyric acid notes. Tastes hoppy, earthy, with molasses, brown sugar, fusels, and an off-putting finish. Gets a bit more discombobulated as it warms, with the palm sugar and molasses getting more prominent, but this one never gets sweet, and stays hot and rummy throughout.

Great tasting Ale. Dose not have strong after taste. I think this would go great with a steak. Good times!

At first kind of thin. Not getting a big brown ale taste. Then the rum notes start to pop as the beer warms up. By the end quite nice but I would still prefer more rum to start.
