Strong, wheaty aroma has a decided overtone of lemon, and in some ways is more like a cider than a beer. Lemon cider? Lemon curry? OK, back to the review. It pours a pretty clear amber, but not much head. Crisp flavor has a malty core, strong fruity notes with grape dominating, and an overtone of lemon, rather sour but actually pleasantly so. From the lemongrass, I presume - distinctive and tasty. In addition, there is a subtle, bitter hoppy undertone. Sharp texture has good body and some fizz. Keep up the good work, Widmer Brothers! Your reserve beers may not be the absolute best, but they are distinctive and fun to try.

Floral muscat and wheat aromas. Pours yellow with a small white head. Flavors of muscat grapes. Finishes with a little lemongrass.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with small off white head. The aroma is citrus and grape. Thin mouthfeel with a strong lemon and citrus with light sour finish. Easy to drink a good brew from Widmer.

Pours a deep golden color. Aroma is of lemongrass, wheat, malt, and some citrus. Flavor is the same with the citrus really coming through in the finish. Leaves a nice and sweeter citrus finish. Good one!

Bomber. Limited Release #5, Fall 2011. Bought at Super 1 in CDA, ID. Pours hazy gold with a medium off-white head that falls into a skiff of foam after a minute; beer looks completely flat 3/4 of the way through the first glass. Aroma is peppery, lemony. The muscat comes through faintly. Taste is bittersweet with a dry bitter finish. Mouthfeel is syrupy, like grape juice is. The beer reminds me of Stone’s last Vertical Epic, which also was brewed with Muscat. Not as good as that one, but still pretty good.

A nice gold color with a small white head that quickly fades. The aroma has some malt and wheat with an interesting note from the muscat grapes and maybe the lemongrass. The flavor has the malt and wheat up front with the grapes providing a sweet background and aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I had this on draft at Out of the Park Pizza in Anaheim Hills, CA. This wheat beer has a nice lemon flavor and would make it a good refreshing drink on a hot day.

Bottle - Limited Release #5 Fall 2011. Pours orange-amber with a short, fizzy white head. Aroma is citrusy and herbal while retaining and pleasant sweetness along with soft grains. Taste is more on the sweet side with sweet malt, citrus, candied fruit (lemon drops), lemongrass, grains, herbal notes and soft alcohol. Body medium with a thin, creamy carbonation and slight warmth from the alcohol. Ends with more candied fruit (lemon drops), lemongrass, sweet malt, grains and alcohol. Deceivingly tasty for a 9% ABV beer. This is an easy drinker!

Bottle. Poured hazy golden color with an average white frothy head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate grassy citrus, wheat and alcohol aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium balanced sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Interesting beer.

Bottle from Beer Revolution. Pours dark amber with an attractive beige head and a fruit and toffee aroma. There is a strange sweet fruit flavor that includes banana, grape and lemon with a dry slightly bitter finish.
