22oz bottle in a snifter. Pours black with a lacy, light tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate, the raspberry, a little coffee, and some bitter hops. The flavors all blend pretty well, but the raspberry might take away from this imperial stout. Thicker texture. A pretty good beer.

22 oz. bottle, pours a dark brown / black with a medium beige, foamy head. Aroma of light raspberries, a Belgian-like candied sugar quality, Flavour of fairly prominent alcoholized raspberries and candied sugar, layered over a roasted malt and chocolate cake base. A bit of a metallic and burnt aftertaste, leaving the raspberries behind. Watery body, with not much depth. Not so good, and certainly overpriced at more than $10 per 22 oz.

love raspberry and chocolate paired together and with coffee.... I can’t be expected to be impartial at all. nice malt flavor wafting in and out with a bit of hop pronounced in the carbonation as it rolls in your mouth....majestic!

22oz bottle. Large tan head atop black body with brown edge. Aroma is moderately sweet, caramel, raspberry, roast. Taste is sweet, roast/coffee, bittersweet chocolate, some raspberry, lightly medicinal. Medium-full body, some stickiness, quite drinkable.

22 ounce bottle, bottled on date of March 12, 2012. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with an inch frothy tan head that stayed around for a while. There’s also a decent amount of lacing left behind on the glass. The aroma is a bit weak, it smells like raspberries, roasted malt and bittersweet chocolate. I would say the strongest flavor in this brew is a medicinal raspberry one, with there also being some roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate, and some coffee noticeable. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it’s a bit slick and coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. At $12.99 a bottle, I wouldn’t buy it again. It was nice to try and it’s not a bad beer, but I don’t think it’s worth the price. But if you’re going to split a bottle with someone, then why not?

22 oz. bottle,PDT 2/13/12- Pours almost black with red highlights when held up to the light, the head is thick, creamy and mocha colored. The aroma is chocolate followed by tart fruit, I wish it was a stronger aroma, but what is there is really nice. The taste is chocolate, I do detect the raspberries mid palate, coffee is in the finish, it also finisher mildly bitter and somewhat dry. The body is medium full, but light for this type of beer, carbonation is medium. Overall a mixed bag, I understand the appeal of adding fruit, especially some sort of berry, chocolate, which is often found in Impy stouts and berries kind of go hand in hand, but I don’t think it meshed all that well. With some age maybe this would be a wonderful beer, but for my money I wont bother.

Kind of a weird raspberry beer here, bit thin, overall very drinkable and flavorful, odd amount of raspberry without tons of rich depth to back it up.

22 oz bottle. Pours far brown to black with a medium sized but diminishing khaki head. The aroma is raspberry, lightly tart with roasted malts and hints of chocolate and coffee. The flavor has raspberry, chocolate and some roasted malt. The alcohol is noticeable throughout. A touch thin for the style. Would this blend and balance with time?

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a clear dark ruby color with a large frothy brown head that lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate to heavy roasted chocolate, raspberry and alcohol aroma. Medium to heavy sweet toasted malt flavor with a medium to heavy sweet and small alcohol bite finish of moderate duration. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a soft beer for style.

My two favorite flavors in beer: Imperial Stout and Raspberries. Now to see if it lives up to such a promise. Strong, smoky aroma has a decided overtone of raspberries. ME LUVZ RAZBURYS! :D It pours an opaque, scrumptious sable with a thick and rather persistent light tan head that leaves some generous lacing. Flavor is - uh, let me savor this for a while, oh, it is just so dee-lish! A sweet but not cloying raspberry core with smoky, malty, coffee, semi-sweet chocolate and licorice notes. I get a touch of cherry as well. So lip-smackingly delicious, it’s to die for! Smooth, full-bodied texture has a good amount of fizz. Widmer, y’all kicked a-- once again! That does it - I’m moving to Portland. :D

Pours a luscious clear dark amber with a thick, fine-bubbled, light golden-tan head that sticks around for a while. Rich aroma is malty and rather hoppy with an evergreen note. Strongly hoppy flavor has a decided bitter evergreen undertone and hints of malt and honey. Smooth texture has above-average body and quite a strong tingle, leaving behind a nice hoppy and fizzy finish.
