An extremely rich and complex beer. The addition of raspberries during the fermentation process results in an almost purplish opaque color with a beautiful brown head. Warm chocolate and roasty notes compliment the hop bitterness.

Bomber shared at ATG Dublin. Reddish black, thin pinkish/tan head. Raspberry yoghurt on the nose, some dark chocolate notes, bit of treacle - not a huge nose. Taste gives lovely fresh juicy raspberry, little bit of sweet syrupy raspberry, cocoa nibs, vanilla, treacle, more dark chocolate. Some light coffee and smoke, bit of spice. Raspberry tartness zings in the finish, before some earthier spice and chocolate notes end it. Light in body, pretty easy going. Huge price tag (know it's an import at Irish bar prices, but come on) and only a mediocre stout - doesn't give enough oomph, although i do like the raspberry character.

Bottle at KØ14. Caramelly bread aroma. Black colour. Small off-white head. The flavour is sweetish with a mild raspberry finish. Both are rather distinct. A little too much alcohol, but not nice enough.

On tap at Battleship. Pours black with a thick head. Aroma is of cough syrup, raspberry, malts, slight soy sauce, and some smoke. Flavor is of malts, raspberry and chocolate. Leaves a nice raspberry chocolate malt finish. It’s much smoother than the aroma would have you believe in the beginning.

Flaske: Kulsort let olieret øl med et flot mokkabrunt skumhoved. Duften er meget hindbærpræget som fuldtsændig overdøver den ristede malt. Smagen er en klassiske amerikansk impy men med en god del hindbær i. Fin øl.

Pours black with a thin tan head. Nose is roasted grain and raspberry. Taste is sweet with a subtle hop bite. Raspberry comes through just a little in the taste. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber. Pours a pitch black color with a medium beige head. A nice fruity and yeasty nose. The flavor is chocolate, vanilla, toffee, roast, big creamy coffee, berries. Sweet raspberry. This is a solid beer. Creamy palate, metallic roast. The berries fit without being distracting.

Nice and interesting. This was the 2013 version so it had some time to blend. Aroma had subtle hints of raspberry and roasted malts. The color was very dark but with faint hints of purple. Smooth and full palate with a dryness. Nice blend of tart fruits, roasted malts and wood. Hops played a part at the end. Good complex beer.
