3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared with Jeff. Pours black, but not quite thick. Medium dark tan head. Smell is dark fruit, maybe raspberry, chocolate is pretty big, dark roasted malts. Overall I found it to be a little thin, not much of the hops were left, and not very complex.

Black with a small tan head. Light notes of raspberries in the aroma, more in the taste. Also roasted malt, chocolate and licorice. The body was medium. The finish was dry. Quite good.

Lots of raspberry on the nose. Also lots of chocolate. I don't like the berries. It is drinkable but I wouldn't want too much.

Olga Fetchik was our town beautician, and one of God’s most unattractive creations since the aardvark. Anyway, over the years, Olga had been secretly squirreling away money for plastic surgery. Well, one day she left without telling anyone, had the surgery, and didn’t return for months. Well, nobody could believe their eyes - Olga Fetchik had turned into a stunning beauty! Every man in town wanted her, but she ended up marrying St. Olaf’s most handsome and eligible bachelor, dance instructor Adolf Stepp. The two of them moved back to Norway, decided to get into show business, and they became the internationally renowed Scandinavian dance team of Stepp ’n’ Fetchik.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Black pour, moderate tan head, decent lacing/retention. Aroma is raspberry, chocolate, licorice, light roast, light caramel, light darker fruit notes. Medium to full bodied, sweet raspberry chocolate flavor. Kind of pricey but would make a nice dessert beer.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, with a thick wax cap. Pours as you’d expect, dark as night. The head is but a thin whisper. The aroma is a bit different, clearly having some sweet component, but mixed with what promises to be a robust alcohol aspect, too. The beer drinks with a sharp burn, to be sure, but there’s a nice berry swirl in here too. Delivers like a rich, warm dessert, pleasant to the soul. Well done. (#5224, 8/28/2013)
