Nice appearance of ebony with reddish hues...nice creamy head. Aromas of spices, chocolate. BIG flavor up front. Velvety sweetness, molasses, brown sugar, and roasted malt. As it finishes, spices evolve and finish nicely with sweetness and coffee notes. Outstanding...would pair nicely with a sweet dessert.

Aroma is cocoa with hints of spices and pepper. Malt is clearly dark chocolate with hints of roastiness. Appearance is Jet Black black, black, black, black, cloudy, frothy, Its got a stout appearance but taste of a dark ale. Taste is unique: Strong pepper brought on by the chilis coupled with chocolate. Can not taste the pecans but there is limited hoppiness its mostly a malty ale so really limited to no bitterness. Palate: This is a full bodied beer with some alcohol undertones and a long chocolate finish. I really have enjoyed this beer and this was the first time I have tried it on tap. Normally able to find it in 22% Bottle (Nicely boxed).

Sample at World Of Beer. Pours a dark reddish-brown color with a medium light beige head that recedes steadily. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of roasted nuts, chocolate and spice. Medium to full body with flavors of chocolate malt, coffee and spices. The finish is sweet cocoa and spices. Pretty good overall.

Bomber, probably from BevMo or Total Wine. Pours very dark brown with a slight fizzy tan head - didn’t last long. Aroma is chilies for me. Mild over a hint of chocolate. Near full bodied. Flavor is very chilies, but the toasted pecans are very noticeable. So where’s the chocolate? Gotta lose the pecans first. Where’s the cinnamon? Probably lost in the chilies. Pretty different beer. Good. Maybe just a bit challenging. Arguably complex. Confuses me a bit anyway.

Overall a fantastic beer. Looked and smelled great (especially as it warmed up in the glass). Silky smooth on the palate, soft spices, and a lingering chocolate taste on the finish. On tap at Plan B.

Bottle. Very dark brown to near black pour with a short, fizzy tan head. Aroma is slight spices, cocoa, dark chocolate and roasted malt. Taste brings out some more of the chilies and cocoa, dark chocolate notes, pecan pie and light cinnamon. Body is medium with a soft, creamy carbonation and mild heat from the chilies. Finishes with more cinnamon, pecan pie, cocoa, dark chocolate notes, roasted malt, and chilies.

Appearance was clear deep brown with diminishing creamy tannish tiny 1/2 finger head, spotty lacing. Aromas are sweet caramel, toffee, coffee, nutty spicey hops with hints of chilis, mild alcohol nose. Taste was deep toffee, coffee ,brown sugar, chocolate malts with spicey hop bite and mild chili backend. Palate was smooth soft creamy CO2 with full body, then long malty chocolate, coffee, toffee chili wonderful warming sipping finish. Love this amazing brew of...

22 oz. bottle- Pours dark brown to red with a small creamy tan head. Aroma is brown sugar, molasses, maybe some green chilies, but I do wish they were more prominent, pecans do show up, maybe cinnamon. Taste is wonderfully complex, brown sugar, cocoa and pecans are at the forefront, cinnamon and other spices as well, unfortunately the green chilies, which was the one ingredient that I was really looking forward to is the least I taste, it is there, but I was hoping for more. There is a light heat burn, but that as well could have been more prominent. It sounds like I am complaining, and I am, but this is actually a really tasty beer, I enjoyed it.
