Using rich Mexican chocolate nibs, cinnamon, toasted pecans, and green chilies, this brew will feature decadent chocolate notes with a subtle spice character to pique the taste buds. A complex blend of traditional southwest flavors brought to you by way of the Northwest.

650 ml. bottle. Pours a medium, short lived light beige head, over a clear reddish brown (SRM 18) body.....nose is pecan, hints of cocoa, chocolate.....taste is cocoa, chocolate to start, hints of toffee/caramel sweetness, leading to light lingering chile heat, with tones of cinnamon, and umami, ....mouth feel medium, sticky, slight alcohol warmth present, carbonation low. This is an interesting conglomeration of ingredients. The pecans are the most dominant of the additions, adding to both aroma and flavors. The cocoa nibs (they aren’t yet chocolate) come through in a pleasant way. The chile and cinnamon were used with a light hand, so they are in background rather than dominating in the front. All in all, this is an interesting experiment. BJCP 8/3/14/4/7

2012.12.15 - on tap Always Ron's in small tulip glass. Pours dark brown, moderate head. Aroma bland. Taste is smooth foamy head followed by roasted flavor followed by a bit if alcohol burn. It actually burned me lips a mild bit. There's some sweetness in there but not a lot. Kind of like a watery high alcohol stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22oz bottle in a snifter. Pours very dark brown with a lacy, light tan head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malts, some spices, peppers, and light bitterness. Flavor about the same. Average to smooth texture. An interesting beer that is better than a lot of spiced/pepper beers.

Pours ruby-brown into the glass, with a fully diminished head that leaves no lace of which to speak. The nose is of sweet, spiced bread. Flavors are similar, with tons of chocolates, caramel, vinous notes, light prunes, pie spices and finishes with dark chocolates, spices and accelerating chile heat. The mouthfeel is vinous, providing a medium body that allows activity through a coexistence of subtle carbonation and budding heat from the chilies, making for a very interesting brew here. An enjoyable and interesting offering, especially for the multiple-accessed areas of the palate.

Poured into a tulip snifter out of a 22 oz. bottle. Pours a dark cola brown with a one finger caramel colored head. Sweet, roasted aromas of carame and vanilla. Moderately thick and a little creamy, with microscrubbing co2 for balance. Sorghum, cocoa mix, and caramel.

Pours pitch black no head what so ever. Aroma of toasted nuts, chocolate and hints of the chili. Up front you're hit with a slit heat from the chilis. Then settles in chocolate coffee. Very unique. First chili beer I've actually enjoyed. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

"A nice brown/porter looking brew that is just a tiny bit behind the really awesome spiced stouts if you will (ie-chocolate sombrero). Pecans are at once a nice touch and a deterrent, causing the flavor to be a touch too sweet. Chili and cinnamon and chocolate really comes out as the beer warms. I’d get far more often if not so expensive."

From a bottle poured a dark brown color with a small amount of head. Sweet spicy malty flavor with a lingering finish.

Bomber from Country Club Liquors. Nose is light chilies, cocoa, and some nutty roast. Clear brown with a medium beige head. Flavor is a very lightly peppery warmth, chocolate, and chilies. Finishes lightly warm. Decent but not great.
