Using rich Mexican chocolate nibs, cinnamon, toasted pecans, and green chilies, this brew will feature decadent chocolate notes with a subtle spice character to pique the taste buds. A complex blend of traditional southwest flavors brought to you by way of the Northwest.

draft poured a dark brown with off white head. the aroma was of roasted malts and cocoa. medium bodied and full flavored. took me a few sips to figure this one out. cocoa nibs and chilies....you donít really feel the chilies in the mouthfeel but subtly in the belly afterwards nice and warming...do get some spice mix in it as well...possibly cinnamon. kind of shocked by this one. but very pleasantly surprised and this is pretty darn good.

Pours mahogany into a snifter. Tan head with little retention recedes to nothing. Pecan and cocoa aromas. Thick with dark caramel. Thin with dark caramel, pecan and cocoa upfront turning to a warming chili finish.

Bomber. Pours dark brown with an aroma of chocolate, cinnamon, and spices. Taste is sweet as well, lots of chocolate, cinnamon, spices, vanilla and heat from the chilies into the long finish. Delicious brew

Wow--this is exciting beer. The chocolate dimension is especially strong, even more so when you look at this beer (it isnít opaque) and wonder how they got so much chocolate into a beer that doesnít look like an imperial stout. The chili is subtle--no burn, reasonably handled. Fun and good. (bottle at Ale Jail beer festival, September 2012)

Draft at Fermentation. Pours a transparent deep brown with a small tan head. Nose is dominated by cocoa nibs with roasted malts, pecans with muted spices. Flavor is lots of sweet chocolate, vanilla, roasted nuts and more present spices. Quick sweet finish. Pretty tasty.

Tallahassee, Fl - Proof Brewing Company - on tap. Dark brown pour, off-white head, decent lacing. Aroma of licorice and chocolate. Flavor has a nutty profile to it with some chocolate accents and a touch of biscotti-like maltiness. Nice sticky mouthfeel. Pretty solid.

Bottle and served in a tulip glass: Pours a deep brown with a small fading head and spotty lace. The aroma has notes of java mocha coffee, pecans and walnuts, light pepper chili and cinnamon bun, some tar and leather, with a bit of roast and caramel malts. The taste is mostly sweet chocolate and vanilla with some roast support by a light handed chili spice edge. The spice components is just a step away from being what I want but at least you can find it unlike some peppers beers I have had (here is looking at you Stone). Lush and oily medium body works well with the flavors. Overall, a nice brew I would drink again if giving the chance but not sure if I would actually spend money for it when NB Moly and Ska Moly are still on the shelves.

On draft at Tap 25. It pours brown with red highlights and a khaki head. The aroma is toasted malt, roasted green chiles, pecan pralines and chocolate. Nice. The flavor is toasty with noticeable alcohol, strong pecans, smoke, cocoa and a little chile heat on the back end. Interesting beer, and pretty much exactly as advertised. I liked it, but definitely in small doses. I couldnít have more than a few ounces.

Tap. Poured clear brown color with an average frothy light brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy toasted sweet chocolate malt, nuts and spice aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium toasted sweet & hot flavor with a medium hot & sweet finish of moderate duration. My expectations where exceeded.
